debs for 1.0?
Hi, 0.99 is running nicely on my sarges, but I need pop3_uidl_format = %f for Courier compatibility. I can't find any debs more recent than test22 of over a year ago (those are at http://src.braincells.com/dovecot-test/). Even though google turns up http://hemma.tobbe.nu/debian/mini-dinstall/incoming/dovecot_1.0.test46-1_i386.changes searching for dovecot on packages.debian.org (any

SMB signing
Hi, I wonder if it is possible to setup Samba (client or server) to use SMB signing (without NTLMv2, NTLMSSP etc). I've been trying to do this by setting 'Digital Signing' as a requirement on my Windows 2000/2003 servers. With Samba 2.x, SMB signing seem to not be supported, with Samba 3.x I get this NTLMSSP stuff. Cheers, Tobbe

Problem searching with special characters
I''m using Ferret on a Swedish website and I get some unexpected behaviour on searches containing the swedish charchters ???. An exampel, if I index a string "Varf?r fungerar det inte" ("Why doesnt it work" in swedish) and search for "f?r" I''ll get one (1) match. The expected behaviour would be no matches since ''f?r'' is part of

MARK causes high CPU usage / using tc in conjunction with MASQ
Using below configuration multiplied by 3000+ nodes to control bandwidth causes very high kernel cpu usage (99.5%) narrowed it down to the mangle table. Any ideas to do this more efficiently would be appreciated. The mangle table entry (indicated by ***) is sucking all the cpu. I am running RH7.3 kernel 2.4.18-3 and iptables 1.2.5 This setup has worked well for more than 1000 devices but as the

windows print migrator + "add printer command"
Hi all. I was wondering if anyone had a successful exampel of using the "add printer command" with cups so that the windows print migrator could be utilised. Seeing as Jerry as spent time on this it would be a shame not to know how to use it. ;-) I'm guessing that it would be along the lines of: add printer command = lpadmin option1 option2 && cupsaddsmb option1 but

how to emulate large IP routing table
Hi all I am conducting the experiments comparing IP router forwarding delay and MPLS LSR forwarding delay, it is obvious in theory MPLS in Core should be faster than IP, but for small netork (only have several core routers), result show it is not, this is why I want emulate a large IP routing table in one core router. can I do it and how ? right now I use static routing table (by using command :

CBQ + 802.1Q VLAN
I need to shape traffic from some IP on one LAN, but I''m in trouble. There is a linux 2.4.26 connected to the Internet (eth0) / LAN(eth1) doing NAT. I''m using VLANs in the LAN Interface, that is connected to a 3Com SuperStack II in a 802.1Q tagged port. I want to create a class that will limit the traffic at 384Kbit/s. I want to create two leaf classes that limit the traffic at

Best QoS Policy for VoIP
Hello all, I''ve got a couple redundant (Spanning Tree Protocol) boxes running FC1 minimal install + bridge-utils and they are working great for QoS + ntop monitoring. I''m wondering if I should handle the VoIP traffic a little differently. I don''t mind letting VoIP and Video lend out traffic when it isn''t being used, so that''s why I gave them such

Bandwidth limiting a MASQed network.
Hi! I just recently entered the wonderful world of the so called "advanced routing" and decided to try and limit the bandwidth of a MASQed network here and ended up in trouble :(. The setup is (as far as I can tell) pretty straightforward. eth0 is connected to the "real" network with a proper IP, and eth2 is 192.168.10.x (the MASQed network). All of it is basicly right out of
