equal bandwidth for all IPs
Hi,
How can I set equal bandwidth of 512kbit downlink and 256kbit uplink for
every single IP address of 254 IP addresses I have in my LAN?

ConnBytes iptables match
Hi,
as I promised in LARTC list I created patch for new connbytes
match. It matches packets which bellongs to connection which
transfered given range of bytes.
For those interested it is at
http://luxik.cdi.cz/~devik/connbytes/
It was originaly meant to be used with HTB or other qdisc to
reclassify long download streams to lower prio class.

Traffic Shaping for DVB gateway
Hello all,
I am providing broadband service through DVB circuit.
I have 4KB uplink and 32KB downlink. I want to share
32KB downlink bandwidth among 192.168.0.0/24 (20 users
in this subnet i.e 192.168.0.2-192.168.0.22)subnet
where each user will get 2KB to 6KB bandwidth. And
from 4KB uplink bandwidth each users will get only 1KB
to 2KB bandwidth.

Squid + shaping question
Hi folks,
So, I have a pretty simple setup - a linux router machine running as a
firewall/router for a small neighborhood LAN (approx 20 machines). I also
have squid running on the box in non-transparent mode, and also I have set
up NAT for TCP/UDP ports above 1024 for all clients and SSH/POP/SMTP/CVS
NAT''d for selected ones based on MAC filtering. No hosts whatsoever can
access ports 80

Creating a contended section of bandwidth with HTB and IMQ
Hi All,
I''m trying to create a contended section of bandwidth using IMQ. I have the
imq0 device up and running, with traffic passing through it.
Firstly, I need to throttle the entire device imq0 to 2mbit/s.
I would then like to add throttle rules for individual IP addresses, allowing
them to pass up to 512kbit/s each, as long as imq0 has not reached its
2mbit/s.
The configuration

Kernel panic when using wrr qd
For some time now im trying to get to know what causes such
configuration of QOS (kernel 2.4.25-2.4.28 + IMQ patch and ofcourse wrr):

I''m using htb classes on my firewall to queue traffic and implement
different restrictions on different protocols.
tc qdisc del dev eth0 root
tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1: htb default 190
tc class add dev eth0 parent 1: classid 1:3 htb rate 2mbit burst 30k
tc class add dev eth0 parent 1:1 classid 1:90 htb rate 50kbit ceil 384kbit

WRR and Monitoring/Graphing usage
Hi All,
I''ve just installed WRR and am looking at tools to monitor, graph and display
the system and throughput of each queue/class/filter.
I''ve looked at:
iptraf - only shows tcp/udp flows, not QOS queue throughputs
show.pl - doesnt work with WRR (as far as I can tell)
tc-graph.pl - doesnt work with WRR (as far as I can tell)
polltc_ - doesnt work with WRR (as far as I can

problem with wrr+prio
I have set up wrr successfully on my bridge/shaper machine. That much
works fine. I originally used sfq in the inner classes. However, there
was a problem with high-bandwidth connections (web downloads,
bittorrent) starving low-bandwidth low-latency connections like ssh. I
would like to use prio or similar to prioritize the interactive traffic,
but it does not seem to work. I have tested with

limiting doesn''t work
Hi folks,
I read the fantastic LARTC How-to and after that i tried to limit one
host in my LAN for both down-and upload bandwidth usage.
I took section 15.9. and added uplink-limiting as I understood it from
the previous chapters.
Unfortunately it doesn''t work.
I ran the script and went to the specified PC, started a download, and
watched the rate. The rate was always about 2000 kbit/s,

creating multiple plots using a splitting factor
Hello,
I am new to R. I often collect data at multiple sites and need to
create separate graphs (such as scatterplots or histograms) of specific
variables for each site. I have tried to do this by splitting the data
frame and then using lapply, but it seems that the graphing commands
cannot be called as functions. Here is a sample of my data, called
"seeddist2":

http://www.ssi.bg/~ja/routes-2.6.14-12.diff, and iproute2-2.6.14-051107.
i am using ingress to limit incoming traffic :
(DEV is eth1 / DOWNLINK is 7700)
# attach ingress policer:
tc qdisc add dev $DEV handle ffff: ingress
# filter *everything* to it (0.0.0.0/0), drop everything

bugfix: indeterministic file choice from multiple sources
Hello,
some time ago I reported a bug, where we saw indeterministic behaviour of
rsync (all versions since 2.5), when having the same file appearing in
multiple sources. Sometimes the file in the first source was copied, other
times the file was copied from one of the other sources.
The attached mstest.tgz contains a test to reproduce the behaviour under
darwin and solaris.
The bug did
