Help with Elite 800VA usb UPS
> Starting the driver with debug level 5 seems happier, but continue to cycle
It is meant to 'cycle', it's working correctly.
When you run the driver normally (i.e. not in debug mode), you don't
see all that output (plus, after having established a connection with
the device, the driver goes into the background), but it's doing
exactly the same thing.

smbd using alot of cpu
I have an smbd process that is using alot of cpu on HP-UX 11.11 using
Samba 2.2.3a. It looks like the application on the client side is trying
to open and close a ton of files, many of which do not exist. When I do
a trace on the smbd process, I see repeated calls to lstat64 to what
looks like all of the device files on my unix server. Here is a little
bit of the trace. It goes through all of the

. Possible issue with R-tools on Windows
I encountered this issue a couple of months ago and resolved it by installing Rtools in the default directory
C:\Rtools, see below for details. I didn't have time to prepare a proper error report and in fact suspected that I may be messing up something.
I tracked down the error by installing from the command line, rather than with install.packages().
On Windows I keep multiple versions of

Problem (mis-configuration?) with Milter-Sender (v0.62) GreyListRejectCount...
Hi, I''m having a problem with Milter-Sender (v0.62) in the fact that I''m not able to tune the GreyListRejectCount the way that I want to. Namely I''m having a problem setting the GreyListRejectCount to any value higher than a single digit, or at least that''s what I think is happening. I''ve been ""fighting this problem for a while on my server

clamav-milter verification on Centos 3.3
Hello!
I'm running clamav-milter, clamd, and sendmail on CentOS 3.3 (RHEL3). I'm
trying to verify that my milter works. I've sent test emails from
testvirus.org but they don't appear to be getting flagged. I don't see
anything in the logs to indicate they were. Is there a sure-fire way to know?
Also, how should the clamd work? Does it watch the filesystem? Or will it only
work

Which greylisting milter?
Howdy.
Over at http://greylisting.org/implementations/sendmail.shtml they list
5 different implementations - 1 perl and 4 C based.
Does any one know if one is better than the other? Does it make a
difference? Is it just a matter of preference?
Thanks.

Centos 5 and milter rpm's
As I mentioned on this list before, I'm switching from Fedora 6 to Centos 5.
I'm setting up the mail server and on Fedora I used the milter rpms for
greylisting, spamassassin, mimedefant etc. However I don't see that
those are included with Centos? Is this true, or do my yum repositories
need to be changed to look in an 'extras' location? Or is there some
other source

Latest version of clamav-milter
Hi folks,
Can someone tell me the latest version of clamav-milter x84_64? I
just yum installed it but it is version 0.88.2.el4kb, and the version on
my server is 0.93. Is the difference between the two due to being
different platforms?
Thanks..

SELinux policy for dkim-milter
Hello,
Does anyone have a sample SELinux policy for dkim-milter?
I'm using the configuration from this page:
http://www.howtoforge.com/set-up-dkim-for-multiple-domains-on-postfix-with-dkim-milter-2.8.x-centos-5.3
Along with the latest RPM from the link on that page.

Ben

SELinux, postfix and milters
Hi all,
I'm trying to add some milters (particularly spamass-milter and
clamav-milter, which I acquired through rpmforge) to my postfix
configuration on Centos5 with the targeted SELinux policy..
I'm running into difficulty getting postfix to communicate through the
unix domain sockets created by the milters, because selinux keeps
blocking them. I've attempted to use audit2allow

Postfix, Milters and SELinux
Hi folks,
I want to run Postfix with external milter application on a CentOS 5.3
mailgateway. At the moment SELinux is preventing postfix' cleanup daemon
from accessing sockets.
Before I to through the process of audit2allow trial and error - has
anybody out there successfully gone though this and can send me a policy
I can work with?
Any hint or help is appreciated.
