Jitsi, SRTP and Asterisk 11
Does anyone here have a Jitsi softphone set up with Asterisk such that SRTP is enabled, TLS is used to pass the SRTP key, and it works? Anyone? If so then what are the settings required for Asterisk? -- *** E-Mail is NOT a SECURE channel *** James B. CentOS-6.5 (FreePBX-2.6) Asterisk-11.14.2 (FreePBX) snom870-SIP 8.7.3.25.5 I am having a very difficult time attempting to get TLS and SRTP working with Asterisk and anything else. At the moment I am trying to get TLS functioning with our Snom870 desk-sets. And I am not having much luck. Since this is an extraordinarily (to me) Byzantine environemnt I am going to ask if any of you have gotten

TLS, SRTP, Asterisk11 and Snom870s
This seems to me to be getting down to some sort of problem with configuring the Snom-870. when I register the device 41712 (set up for transport=tls only) then I see this in the SIP trace: Sent to udp:192.168.6.9:5060 at 4/3/2015 09:07:36:813 (836 bytes): REGISTER sip:voinet09.internal.hamilton.harte-lyne.ca:5061 SIP/2.0 Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 192.168.6.112:5060;branch=z9hG4bK-udx92poqese6;rport

PostgreSQL 8.3.0 rpm packages for RHEL5/CentOS5
PostgreSQL 8.3.0 was released on February 4, 2008. There are a number of valuable enhancements in this version including Heap Only Tuples and integration of full text search. It is also reputed to provide a performance increase of at least 5% over 8.2.6. As usual, RHEL compatible RPMS are available at postgresql.org. However, there is a new (to me at least) project at http://yum.pgsqlrpms.org/

Anonymous SIP calls
You have to consider whether you really want "anonymous" calls, or you just want to enable SIP calls from trusted companies/partners. The latter means setting up routes to these companies and (ideally) registration between peers. If you really want anonymous calls, then you will have to setup your dialplan with a guest/anonymous context for the calls to drop into. Once they arrive in

I still get the same errors after adding my user id to /etc/at.allow. I tested whether job control was enabled by moving top into the background using ctrl-z and fg to return and that worked. Any suggestions as to what I am

Anonymous SIP calls
We have a FreePBX-12 / Asterisk-12 setup that supports about 24 extensions, most internal Snom870s but six or so external (Jitsi-2.8). we use TLS and SRTP everywhere on our side of the fence. The server host is a dedicated atom(tm) box using the FreePBX distro (CentOS-6.x) and is up-to-date. Registrations require very long random passwords and registrable devices are further restricted by

Incoming SRTP call not working with Bria iPhone Edition
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi Everybody, I am experiencing some troubles with my Bria iPhone Edition (v. 1.2.8 build 5312, on iOS 4.2.1 iPhone 3G) and Asterisk 1.8.3.2 + TLS/SRTP on LAN (without NAT). With 2 computer clients (Blink, one on Mac, one on Windows/Linux),9i can have a very fine secure conversation in both directions. When I want to do the same with my iPhone,

OT: YUM, RPM and PGP keys
A short time ago a message on this list referred to an OSS project called ledgersmb. I am having a deal of difficulty getting this installed and as the web page at www.ledgersmb.org yields a "page not found" error and the ledger-smb-users mailing list seems very lightly used I wonder if someone here could help me out? I have ploughed through all of the perl dependencies for ledgersmb

Custom dial plan for internal transfers of external calls
Arch = x86_64 OS = CentOS-6.4 (freepbx) Asterisk = 11.4.0 FreePBX = 2.11.0.2 We use Snom870 handsets with firmware v.8.7.3.19. I am trying to develop a custom dial plan to invoke a distinctive ring-tone when an external call is transferred internally. Based on an earlier solution I discovered I am attempting this: [from-internal] include => set-alert-if-local [from-internal-original]

Asterisk 11.5.1 / TLS and Media Encryption / Blink as Client / no audio
Hi, I use Asterisk 11.5.1 and it works fine. :) Now I want to use TLS and media encryption. I followed this guide: https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Secure+Calling+Tutorial When I place a call via Blink-Client (0.5.0) I get connected and Blink shows 2 locks. The blue lock shows "Signaling is encrypted using TLS" and the orange lock shows "Media is encrypted using

Runaway rpm process?
CentOS-6.4_x86_64 I have a KVM virtual machine (several actually) which acts as a warm spare for another kvm instance running on a different physical host. Each hour it backs up the live system using rsync. This morning I discovered that the backup instance was running at 99% utilisation and that the process consuming the entire virtual cpu was this: sh -c rpm -q -a --queryformat

CentOS-5 - Need help sourcing an SQLite-3.6.16 or later rpm
CentOS-5.7 SQLite-3.6.6 Ruby on Rails 3.1 Ruby-1.8.7 I have a situation wherein the version of SQLite-3 on CentOS-5 is too 'old' for the Ruby language sqlite3 DBMS adapter to successfully build against. I managed to obtain an rpm for ruby-1.8.7 but I cannot find one for sqlite-3.6.16 or later. Does anyone here have a lead on where such a beast, including the sqlite development headers,

Need uuid rpm for CentOS-5.2
On my development system I have installed PostgreSQL 8.x from the yum.pgsqlrpms.org repository. I am getting a dependency error: Error: Missing Dependency: libossp-uuid.so.15 is needed by package postgresql-contrib I can find references to this file in an rpm for fc7 (uuid-1.5.1-3.fc7.i386) but nothing else. Is there a place that I can obtain a CentOS version of this package? Failing that,
