max. 8Mbit with a ingress filter
Hi!
I''ll try to set the incoming rate for one ip on a server (with more than one
ip) to 17Mbit, but if I activate it, I got in the beginning only 5mbit. I
than increased the mtu and burst (as you see below) but I still can''t get
more than 8MBit to the server. any ideas?

sandbox-rlimit and ptrace.
I was wondering if the following attack would be feasible once I'm able
to break into rlimit sandbox.
Because sandboxed process that handles unauthenticated session is
running as the 'sshd' user I was wondering if this could be used to jump
between processes using ptrace(2). For example if I find a bug in the
code executed before authentication I could use ptrace(2) to attach to

[PATCH]: Fix syscall return code when ptrace or audit is active
Attached is a simple patch to fix the return value from the 64-bit kernel when
you call with a bad system call number with tracing enabled (for either ptrace
or audit). What should happen is that the user process gets a -ENOSYS return
call from the syscall; what actually happens (only in the 64-bit kernel) is that
you get back the system call number. The 32-bit kernel does not suffer from

This is a local denial of service bug, which was fixed 6 weeks ago in HEAD
and RELENG_6. There is no opportunity for either remote denial of service
or any privilege escalation.

Xen and LVM snapshots on FC4
Hello,
I''ve tried to make Xen and LVM snapshots work with RHEL3 (upgraded
to FC4 partly, using FC4 kernel 2.6.12-1.1387_FC4, xen-2-20050522
installed from RPM). I had a problem where non-snapshot LVM images
worked, but as soon as I create a snapshot of one and tried to use that,
I would get a crash like this as soon as I booted up a Xen domain:
Freeing unused kernel memory: 160k freed

[PATCH] Fix request_module/modprobe deadlock in netfront accelerator
There would seem to be a potential deadlock in the netfront accelerator
plugin support. When the configured accelerator changes in xenstore,
netfront tries to load the new plugin using request_module(). It does
this from a workqueue work item. request_module() will invoke modprobe
which in some circumstances (I''m not sure exactly what - I''ve not
managed to reproduce it myself)

[RFC] nouveau: Add basic i2c sensor chip support
This adds basic support for driving sensor chips off the nvidia i2c buses,
along with basic support for reading the internal GPU sensor on supported
chipsets. It's heavily cribbed off nvclock. Having scanned a large number
of bioses, I'm pretty convinced that the appropriate i2c bus is always
number 2 in the list on <g80 - I'm not sure about later cards yet.
There's still a lot

regular expression for veto files directive?
Hi!
I want to enforce on a samba share, that every file needs to contain a
version.
like: foobar-02.doc or blah-01.xls
I thought something like
veto files = /^.*\D\D\.(doc|xls|ppt)$/
would to it. But it ignores that. are there any other options?
