H323/Netmeeting shaping
Hi,
Has anyone ever succedded in shaping H323 traffic ?
I mean reserve a certain bandwidth for it, in order to
have a comfortable Netmeeting, and not be disturbed by
downloads & others.
I tried with HTB but it doesn''t seem perfect...
Thanks for replies,
Sam

SIP<->H323 calls without proxying RTP
Hello,
Could somebody tell me is it possible to use asterisk without RTP proxying
in SIP<->H323 calls?
I mean exactly what canreinvite=yes option do in SIP<->SIP calls.
I don't need a transcoding, only a signaling conversion, and this is
possible with some softswitches, so i wondering what about asterisk.
Same question about H323<->H323 calls
I'm using NuFone

traceroute misbehaviour on dual-home using -i or -s
My Linux workstation (Mandrake 10.1 kernel 2.6.8.1) is dual-homed to two
ADSL Internet providers. Card eth0 (192.168.9.250) is the default route
and leads to an SMC router (192.168.9.254). Card eth1 (192.168.1.250)
leads to a Linksys router (192.168.1.1). I''m not doing any NAT or PPPoE
in the workstation - the SMC and Linksys handle it all.
I know four commands that let you set an IP

sip to h323 ... direct RTP?
Hi,
Thanks to those who hinted on the SIP/H323/Skinny capabilities of
asterisk ... I am starting to like this app! :D
Now, I successfully managed to bridge SIP to H323 (i don't have skinny
phones here). Just a question: Is it possible to have Asterisk "just"
as a signalling proxy? i have a flat test network, and i would like
the RTP streams to be sent directly end to end (sip phone

Testing if tc works as configured and shaping rtp traffic
Hi,
I have implemented qos at my gateway, mostly for speeding up dns and
[video,voice] chat traffic and to slow down p2p traffic. It seems every
thing is working properly, as by browsing speed has been improved. But I
want to test it by sending various traffic and to see through which
qdisc the traffic flows, so that i can be certain that it is working
the way I want it to work.

u32 hash-es ?
hi I would like to ask is the following config correct for what I want to achieve ...
Scenario:
I have 3 networks 192.168.12.0/24, 192.168.48.0/24, 192.168.56.0/24 and most of the users use 1 IP, some of them more...
If I make flat u32-filter search the box will make aprox/max 3 * 256 = 768 checks for every IP, so i''m deciding to deploy u32 hashes..
Here is the config I think to use

RE: installing automatic routes ?
Unless the bridge keeps stateful inspection data and can reply back to
the session''s origin, not it route then its fine.
The only way I can see this working is either putting the FTP/.. DMZ
behind the firewall giving true firewall protection for all services
involved, or if you just want to kludge the current solution, you can
perform a DNAT/SNAT interface bounce like the following:
