(no subject)
Does anyone keep a known telemarketer caller id database? If not has anyone
proposed an Asterisk community project to share this information? Sort of a
nation wide blacklist so Asterisk'ers can cut down on the garbage calls...

TE410P lights don't blink read after the module is loaded
Greetings,
According to the FAQ "When you load the module and have no
circuit/channel bank the LED's should flash red"
I get the "knight rider" lights before the module loads, but after the
modules are loaded I don't get any lights, other equipment plugged in or
not.
The card has been on my shelf a while so I wonder if it needs a firmware
upgrade ? Can the cards

[Bug 68] Kernel panic

------- Additional Comments From laforge@netfilter.org 2003-03-20 10:55 -------
This looks strange.
The BUG in slab.c tells us that there is a GFP_ATOMIC missing. This means that
we are allocating kernel memory from softirq context with only GFP_KERNEL.
If I understand your backtrace correctly, what happens is:

Problem with smbfs on 2.4.18 kernel
Hi all..
I have found some problems on smbfs module in 2.4.18 kernel.
I compiled it by myself (not the very first kernel compilation in my life
;-)) and then I have got it. Looks like it touch smbfs module as when I
recompile 2.4.18 modules with smbfs sources changed to sources of smbfs
from 2.4.17 problem disappears!!
My mainboard is Abit BE6 with Pentium III 450 MHz. I am using SuSE 7.3 with

Fax over SIP Problems (sorry for this topic ...)
Hello everyone!
I tried to send a fax over SIP with an Asterisk Server in the middle (no
Digium Cards, etc. installed, everything is SIP only, the PSTN-Gateway
is external). Whenever I start sending a Fax to a PSTN destination, the
Call gets answered and asterisk tries to build a native bridging:
-- Attempting native bridge of SIP/sip.westend.com-082fd1b8 and
SIP/xxx-3ef8

Ftp Broken in Dmz
I have had a web server listining sql-1433, www 80,
ftp-21 using proxy arp with sub-netting in a three interface DMZ.
All these ports are in the rules file as ACCEPT.
With one exeception that 1433 allows a few host from
the net. 21 and 80 allow all net to dmz connections.
The policy is DMZ to net ACCEPT
This has been working great for about a month or more until I rebooted

Are you *really* sure that the 0 is transmitted in the CLI, and that it isn't stripped already by the phone company? I think the easiest

One way audio problem on gateway to PSTN after some time, no NAT involved
Hello everyone,
since some weeks I experience strange problems on my gateways to the
PSTN. The gateways use chan_ss7 and SIP. My setup is roughly like that
SER --> Asterisk A --> Asterisk B (chan_ss7) --> PSTN
What happens is, that after a while (uptime was a least two days) the
gateway starts to not transmit audio to the PSTN on outgoing calls, but
the caller can still hear the called

"For ethernet, no packet uses less than 64 bytes" - why?
Hi
Well, subject says all. In Chapter 9.2.2.1, TBF, the parameter mpu
or "minimum packet size" is explained as:

> uses less than 64 bytes. The Minimum Packet Unit determines the minimal

In my understanding an ethernet packet needs at least 14 (2*6+2) bytes or
54 bytes if

repost (passive FTP server in DMZ and shorewall 1.4.2)
I apologize for the first message. :)
---------------------------------------
I have an FTP server running in the DMZ section of my home network. It uses port 23000 for connection and ports 19990 to 19994 for data transfer.
I have setup the following rule for outside people to connect to it:
DNAT net dmz:192.168.2.2 tcp 23000
I''m at work right now and I can''t use

Announcement to caller when called party has picked up - without initial Answer()?
This is super easy to do. All you need to do is to put that announcement in
a MP3 and set a musiconhold class for that incoming Zap channel. Then
basically when ever that PSTN number rings, Asterisk will play the MP3
stream "Your call may be monitored or recorded, please hangup if you do not
agree...etc" in a loop until the line is answered. Caller doesn't pay a
single dime to

problem getting ulogd and shorewall working on debian
I''m trying to get Shorewall to use ulogd for logging, but I''m not
seeing any logging in either the file I set up for logs, nor in
/var/log/messages (where the logs used to be).
I''m running a stock Debian 3.0 woody system, with a custom 2.4.21
kernel. I used all the settings as described on shorewall.net when
configuring the kernel. ulogd (0.97-1) and shorewall
