[PATCH] TC: bug fixes to the "sample" clause
PATCH 1 ======= On my machine tc does not parse filter "sample" for the u32 filter. Eg: tc filter add dev eth2 parent 1:0 protocol ip prio 1 u32 ht 801: \ classid 1:3 \ sample ip protocol 1 0xff match ip protocol 1 0xff Illegal "sample" The reason is a missing memset. This patch fixes it. diff -Nur iproute-20051007.keep/tc/f_u32.c iproute-20051007/tc/f_u32.c

[PATCH] [TRY2] Use nfmark as a key in u32 classifier
Hello! This is the try number two. What was changed: - Added selectable choice in Kconfig file (thanks Jamal!) - Don''t abuse tc_u32_sel to not break backward compatibility (thanks Patrick!). Stephen, do you have any comments on iproute2 part? I know it''s not perfect but this is the best way, I think. "u32 match mark vvvv mmmm" it''s intuitive but breaks a

tc offset & subheader matching clarification / question
Hello TC''s syntax, particulary u32 filter, is far more rich than what man, howto or command''s help provides. I''ve been looking for information about the uses of ''offset'' parameter, or more detailed explanation of a few other/relevan options, but what I''ve found is very brief to say the least. So I checked the sources of cls_u32.c and

tc u32''s indev paramater
After checking f_u32.c sources, there''s one extra parameter parsed - indev, that is nowhere described - not even in commandline help or in excellent Russell''s documentation. Does anyone know, what''s the purpose of it ?

tc: u32 match in nexthdr not working?
Hello, it seems, that filtering on nexthdr (TCP/UDP) content, especially src or dst port, is not working. The following has no effect on 2.4.16 or older (even 2.2) kernels: # tc filter add dev eth0 parent ffff: protocol ip prio 50 u32 match tcp dst 3128 0xffff police rate 40kbit burst 10k drop flowid :1 Even if # tc filter ls dev eth0 parent ffff: filter protocol ip pref 50 u32 filter protocol

U32 port matching trouble

IPv6 priority in tc filter
Hi, I have recently started to use ''tc'' on ipv6 traffic and have come across an issue with tc filter. As per tc_filter.c in iproute2-050816, to match ''priority'' of an ipv6 packet, the u32 filter matches against the first 8 bits of the packet. From f_u32.c: if (strcmp(*argv, "priority") == 0) { NEXT_ARG();

match mark problem still resists
Dear All I am kinda frustrated with the lack of help some developers are dispensing to this problem (read ignoring it). A few days ago (december 22th) I reported a problem with ''tc filter match mark'' against 2.4 kernel series and got no answers that could lead me to any solution. This is a steady problem that occurs in kernel 2.4 series and match mark (at least for me). I

[PATCH] Use nfmark as a key for u32 classifier
Hello! I am glad to announce a patch for u32 to allow matches on nfmark. The patch is non intrusive (few lines). Why I did this? Because fw classifier cannot be used together with u32. For example, now, you cannot match a mark of 0x90 and a destination port of 80. I know you can do it with iptables to do the marking, but if you use Jamal actions to apply mark to policed packets, you need

tcng version 8w
... is on SourceForge, http://tcng.sourceforge.net/#src This one has the first steps towards getting non-IPv4 classification right: - I''ve added fields for skb meta-data (meta_protocol, etc.) - if USE_META_PROTOCOL is #defined (tcc -D... or tcsim -Xc,-D...), ip_hdr and ip6_hdr check the protocol number - if_u32 generates distinct classifier branches for each protocol - f_fw,

Netspec
Hi All, I hope I am not being off-topic. I need to emulate real application traffic (VoIP, Video, ftp) and use it to measure end-to-end application performance. I have noticed Netspec is one such tool. Does anyone have it? It used to open-source and available on http://www.ittc.ku.edu/netspec/. Its no longer there. I need it for testing of end-to-end application performance on my MPLS

home directory mapping can cause strange Windows errors
I've just spent several hours trying to solve "an unexpected error occurred" while I was accessing my Local Area Connection properties on a Windows 2000 machine. I'm sending this message as penance for blaming Samba. The "an unexpected error occurred" message came up everytime I tried to view the properties of my Local Area Connection but there were other problems
