I took a stab at making a bootable CentOS 5 Live USB pendrive and I ended up with a kernel panic. I was able to do this with a live CD of CentOS 4, but it seems the same procedure does not work for the new version. Has anyone been able to accomplish this? Any and all thoughts are apprecicated! Everybody encourages Samba admins to enable WINS whenever possible, and I agree that it helps a lot to solve these networks' problems. It's so good that, when it fails, it's a disaster. How are people coping with the samba limitation of not being able to replicate the WINS database and thus its inability to have more than one WINS server in a domain?
