Automatic creation of file names
Dear R-Help members,
I have a question about how to save to the hard drive the one thousand
datasets I generated in a simulation. The datasets are created in a
"for" loop that repeatedly creates normally distributed datasets, such
as the example below:
Library(MASS)
for (number in 1:1000) {
dataset = mvrnorm(n = 400, mu = c(0,0,0),
Sigma =

Conflict RGtk tcltk
Hi everybody,
I'm making an application using the package tcltk. Everything goes fine until I
load the package RGtk. The interface doesn't work anymore. Is there any conflict
between these packages? I thought about unloading the package RGtk but I don't
know how to do that.
Thanks,

equality of values
Dear list,
I'm trying to do a loop where I should choose a cell of a data frame
comparing it with another. The code actually works for the majority of the
loop but for some reason it doesn't and I can't figure out why.
When I tried to understand why I've noticed this:

[1] 118.8333
> linhasUpdate[10,6]
[1] 118.8333
> dif[11]==linhasUpdate[10,6]

numerical accuracy.
I've made a long search about that but I found nothing. Please help me!!

I have the source of a C program that includes some archives .c and some
libraries .h. I'm developing a program using R and I want it to load the C
program I told before. How can I do that? I was looking for some function in
R to do that and I found the .C() but I can't understand how it works.
Somebody could help me?

esfq experience anyone?
Hey, fellow LART controlllers,
I''d like to ask if someome has a real esfq experience with HTB class
hierarchy and esfq qdiscs. Lets say that I want to unite the connections
to 10 client PCs with u32 or fw filters (doesn''t matter which one in fact)
into one HTB class with esfq qdisc at the end.
Did anyone tried it, and more important, did it worked the way it is supposed to?

tabIndex not working for select or textarea in form_for
Hello all,
Maybe this is something easy to solve but I can set all my text_field
tabIndex by { :tabIndex => ''2''}. When I try to do the same for the
select or the textarea it doesn''t work. Is there something I''m missing?
Thank you.

R CMD check: Uses the superseded package: ‘doSNOW’
Oh, I completely missed that one.
It's very neat as it seems to work both on Windows and Unix.
Thanks!

What is the maximum value for "prio"? It seems that for htb its maximum
is 7. Is that right?

SFQ latency
Anyone notices that using sfq qdisc adds latency compared to pfifo?
With "sfq perturb 10" ping latency is around 100-120ms, while with "pfifo
limit 3" drops to ~10-30ms (qdiscs belong to htb class).
I''m missing something or is this expected?

ESFQ?
Hi again,
I was just looking around for ESFQ sources, and I see that the main site
is down, and only has kernel 2.6.4 patches.
Is ESFQ maintained? If so, where can I find patches for 2.6.10?
Thanks,

R CMD check: Uses the superseded package: ‘doSNOW’
Dear list,
When I run an R CMD check --as-cran on my package (pROC) I get the
following note:
> Uses the superseded package: ?doSNOW?
The fact that it uses the doSNOW package is correct as I have the
following example in an .Rd file:

HTB shaping & borrowing info
Hello to everybody,
We want integrate in a router/firewall (Debian Based, 2.6 Kernel), an HTB
shaper.
The goal is to divide the traffic for classes of workstations, at example in
three classes,
let say A, B and C.
Example:
A 70 Mb/s
B 20 Mb/s
C 10 Mb/s
If B don''t make traffic, 7/8 of 20Mb/s must be assigned to A and all the
rest at B
We have used CBQ and HTB, with poor succes.
