Re: Assertion failure in journal_flush()
Hi all, We encountered a problem by chance today, a kernel bug which causes the following error: Assertion failure in journal_fl sh() at journal.c:1310: "!journal->j_running_transaction" kernel BUG at journal.c:1310! This happened while remounting an ext3 filesystem read-only. We often do this and haven't seen this bug before, so I suspect some kind of race. It

Larger SIP packets
Hi all, We would like to increase the size (sample length) of RTP packets sent by Asterisk to SIP phones. I gather that Asterisk currently always uses 20ms packets for RTP, although I can't find in the source where that's defined, unless it's in chan_zap.c. I'm guessing from [http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/2003-September/019490.html] that it's not

ISDN PBX + IVR + Voicemail Configuration - Sanity Check ...
Hi All, First of all, please no flames about the footer of this message. It's being inserted into all outgoing email by the server here without asking me personally first once I send out email. Since I've been very interested in setting up an Asterisk PBX + IVR + Voicemail system to support a small business and a foundation for quite some time now, in order to replace their current ISDN

3x AVM Fritz!Card PCI for a EuroISDN PBX.
Hi there! I'm currently considering various PBX solutions for our office telephone network, and would very much like to use Asterisk. Currently, my research is incomplete. I have been recommended to use the above cards, but it is unclear from my Googling whether my configuration will work: - 3x Fritz!Card PCI's in one host. - 3x 6 b-channels. - ~20 Budgetone (and some others)

[patch] known hosts with ports
Hello. We are currently installing a new firewall, and would like to use a mixture of NAT and port mapping to have a single "gateway" host address which exposes a range of open ports, each of which maps to sshd of a different host in our internal network (e.g. ssh.jesus.cam.ac.uk on port 6789 maps to internal host1 port 22 whereas ssh.jesus.cam.ac.uk on port 6790 maps to internal

Easy way of sharing sub-directories?
We are gradually migrating our users away from Sun Solstice NFS client over to using Samba on the Solaris servers. The PCs that the users use run Windows NT. We've hit a snag. Some of the directories that we are sharing out need to have the drive letters mapped to sub-directories of the share. This seems to be possible with Windows 2000 and Windows XP, but NT doesn't seem to be able to do

reduce limit number of arguments in methods:::cbind
Dear all, As far as I understand, the number of arguments in methods:::cbind is limited by the "self recursive" construction of the function which generates nested loops. A workaround could be to use the internal cbind function on blocks of non S4 objects. The limitation would then be reduced to the number of consecutive S4 objects. ##### R code ##### dfr <- data.frame(matrix(0,
