biplot
Hi, I am wondering how to draw biplot with the same scales on both plots? For example, if the two plots have much different scales, generally the two x-y's are scaled so that the two plots are sitting in the center automatically. How to disable this? samba group rights problem (Domain Admins not working)
Hi list, after upgrading our ldap server, the Domain Admins group doesn't work anymore. Members of the domain admins group don't have any special rights on the workstations (for example, they cannot even change the date of a machine in the domain anymore). When I lookup the group members I get:

Grandstream Budgetone G723, G729 or any compression
Hi, does anybody made G723 or G729 to work with a GrandStream Phone ? I've a Cisco here and it works fine with G723, but not with my asterisk. The bandwitdh is very important, since we will have our extensions at home. I know that I have what I pay, but the phone works with cisco. Trying to use G723 or G729 Asterisk says no codec available. Does anybody have it working with any compression

How to limit Apple Mail (desktop)?
By default, Apple Mail downloads all e-mails from server's account. Previous versions of this client allowed to opt-out. The latest two versions? however, only allow to opt-out from downloading the attachments. The stress on the server is unbearable. We cannot ask users to be considerate: this is the default behaviour of Apple Mail. We need a server-side solution to the problem. Please

Re: [Asterisk] GSM access
Hi Mark Did you or anyone else ever find a satisfactory solution to this? Are there any phones which provide voice through the serial connection? What about the nokia card phone - does it have open source drivers? Hi Steffen, Can you elaborate on this? I would have thought that the IMAP Append command would *save* bandwidth (as opposed to having the client save a copy to the Sent folder, thereby uploading the full

ot: data consumption IMAP vs POP
I have a domain with about 50 mailboxes, server is located here in AUS but most of the users are on a LAN is SEAsia location. They were using POP (with Thunderbird), I suggested then can use IMAP instead, so they did. now they are asking; "Looks like Imap is adding a lot to our internet bandwidth" I guess they have some bandwidth limitation on their link I think I can understand that

How to extract sum of particular months in a monthly data series
Dear Users, I have a monthly data for a number of years(1960-2007) for a number of stations and i wish to extract sesonal time-series for the months of March-May and October-November for very station. Asterisk on a dialup connection?
How will this fare? I am planning on putting an asterisk box for my brother in the Philippines but they only have dialup internet. I want them to be able to use a telephone set on a phonejack or linejack card and call me and vice versa via VOIP. My setup in the US is working already with a broadband cable connection. I am thinking that dialup may not work because of the bandwidth required

where do uncaught exceptions printouts go?
Hi, I have a worker, which should have thrown an uncaught exception and dumped the stack in the do_work method, however I saw no dump or indication of any error in any of the logs. This makes it very hard to debug, where does stdout and or stderr go? How canb I know if it gets some kind of error? (in this case not being able to find a class). Playback + Replay Gain questions
I'm hoping to set up a headless system to playback my audio once I get back home after an extended leave. Ideally I'd just ssh in and use a curses based player to play back FLACs and mp3s. This leads me to a few quesitons: 1. What is the minimun processor speed needed to decode and play flac files? I have an old P100 I would like to use for the task if it is sufficient. 2. When
