htb & bandwidth sharing
Hi everybody!
I''ve been trying with htb and tc filter. It seemed to work fine, but
after testing with ethloop I''ve realized that traffic is not being
distributed through the leaves as I thought. When sending packets to
1:10 and 1:11 at the same time, there''s no bandwidth sharing. There''s no
traffic through 1:11 until traffic through 1:10 has finished. Though

Strange behavior deleting filters
Hi list, I''m playing with tc and found a strange behavior when I try to
delete filters. For example, this simple scenario:
tc qdisc add dev eth1 root handle 1: htb default 100
tc class add dev eth1 parent 1: classid 1:1 htb rate 128Kbit
tc class add dev eth1 parent 1: classid 1:2 htb rate 258Kbit
tc class add dev eth1 parent 1: classid 1:100 htb rate 32Kbit
tc filter add dev eth1 parent

deleting tc rules
Hi
I''m doing traffic shaping with tc on ''10.0.0.0/30'' and ''10.0.0.28/30''.
I want to delete part of shaping rules on the fly. (see my
configuration at the end of this mail)
I wan''t to delete the shaping for ''10.0.0.0/30'' on the fly while still
keeping the shaping for part ''10.0.0.28/30'' running.

tc filter oddities
I shape my upstream cable link with HTB from a script. My voip traffic
(from the 192.168.0.14 host) gets priority over everything else to the
near-starvation of other classes; the rest of the traffic is split up
based on some priority rules (qos, empty ack packets, etc). eth1 is the
uplink
I''ve been using HTB and fw marking for the job until recently, when I

need help with tc filters
Hi,
I am attempting to set up some simple outbound shaping following the
LARTC HOWTO.
The HTB qdisc seems to work as the documentation says, but my filters
don''t seem to be working. All of the packets go to the default queue
regardless of what filters I set, it seems. (according to tc -s qdisc show)
I am trying to get this working on my openwrt box (whiterussian rc6),
but when

EF & AF filters with HTB
Hello all,
Please could someone help me with this, I have been trying for days to
get this to work. I would like to have BE, AF & EF classes with HTB
qdisc.
I can''t find any scripts online where this has been done.
If I enable this filter:
#tc filter add dev eth0 parent 2:0 protocol ip prio 1 \
#tcindex mask 0xf0 shift 4 pass_on
then BE & AF classification seems to be fine but

PRIO inside HTB - trouble attaching filters correctly?
Hello everyone!
I''m simply trying to put a PRIO inside an HTB (used to throttle). I''ve got
interactive traffic on the network that I want to give priority (VoIP +
Citrix + Video).
I''ve used the filters in a CBQ script fine, but am having trouble
adjusting them to this setup such that they properly assign the traffic.
tc qdisc del root dev $e
tc qdisc add dev $e

why dont packets go where i want?
Dear All!
I reach the point that I must ask you what I have to do. I am beginner at
traffic shaping and I''m very confused with it. :)
Here''s my script that doesn''t do what I want to do with it:
tc qdisc del dev eth1 root
tc qdisc add dev eth1 root handle 1 htb default 2 r2q 10
tc class add dev eth1 parent 1: classid 1:1 htb rate 300kbit
tc class add dev eth1 parent 1:

Weighted packet shaping?
Hi all,
Im new to all this, and am still trying to get my head qround some of the
concepts of how this all works.
Ive read the howto''s, man pages etc.
Ive setup packet shaping on my router/server box using HTB and SFQ, but its not
working the way i would like.
Im after shaping that has "weights" for classes so that a lower priority class
will slow down when a higher class

issues with dev.new avoiding RStudio plot device on unix?
Hi R-devl,
I'm still unable to force opening an *interactive* non-Rstudio
platform-specific plot device on *unix* systems.
dev.new() add a new argument 'noRStudioGD' in R 3.1.1. Thank you. It
works for me when using RStudio on Windows, but on the unix system it
opens a pdf device instead of an interactive device when using an
interactive RStudio session (with R_DEFAULT_DEVICE

can''t understand strange PRIO behaviour
Hello everybody,
sorry for bothering you, but after some hours, I''m stuck. I''m living in
a student''s foundation where I want to connect lots of people to a tiny
DSL link. We have exactly four types of traffic. We want a really hard
PRIO solution (as I promised to someone that group X will only use the
link capacity which isn''t used by group Y). I could make a

Traffic Shaping multiple incoming broadband sources?
Hi, complete newb and I apologise for it.
I have a setup where my linux box has multiple broadband connection where I am routing certain things over certain interfaces, currently 2 links eth2 is a 1500/256 and eth3 is a 512/512, eth0 is the link to the LAN for users. What I am trying to do is traffic shape the information going out eth0 to the local users by the interface the traffic arrived

tc filter problem with 2.4.22
Hi,
I have a problem with ''tc filter'' on a 2.4.22 kernel from Slackware 9.1
distribution.
The tc command binary is from htb3.6-020525.tgz

I''m trying the following command sequence:
tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1: htb default 1 r2q 1
tc class add dev eth0 parent 1: classid 1:1 htb rate 1200kbit ceil

htb and fw problems
Dear All,
I''m using the kernel 2.6.6, iproute2-2.4.7.20020116, iptables v1.2.9, and gentoo.
I have a leased-line 64 kbps.
I can see the counter works in iptables, but in the htb, it doesn''t go to the right class (it always go to the default class).
Any help will be appreciated

tc filter + bridging + htb -- works only if ip_forward = 0
I thought that the below email would be of interest to LARTC readers. I
wasted quite a bit of time tracking down this "feature" (bug?). Any
comments that shed light on this would be appreciated. In short, "tc
filter" + htb + bridging works only with ip_forward off.

QoS - Ping problem
Hello all,
I have set my QoS solution and now I am facing a little problem...
When I ping to my server it has some lost packages:
Estatísticas do Ping para 172.30.0.1:
Pacotes: SENDED = 1029, RETURNED = 880, LOST = 149 (14% de perda),
Aproximar um número redondo de vezes em milissegundos:
Mínimo = 0ms, Máximo = 686ms, Média = 105ms
If I disable my QoS ping stats to be ok. I even have
