SIP clients not sending audio
Hi, I've got two SIP clients, one is X-Lite on NT, the other is
KPhone on Linux and when I try either the echo test or voicemail
demos, they fail to send any audio. They are both set up as type
of "friend" in sip.conf so that they can send and receive calls.
Using an IAX client like Gnophone, I have no problems.
The troubling thing is that I'm almost certain that this was

Facing problem of decoding FLAC
Hi FLAC developers,
This is Saki, a student from Australian National University currently working on FLAC decoding with GPU acceleration. I am now facing a problem of locating the FLAC frame header. I am now trying to find a way to find the nearest frame header after a specific byte. I have already filtered the invalid data, check the CRC-8 at the end of file. But I am still finding some

Shaping per IP in PPPoE
hi all.
i am currently now serving PPPoE in my area.
i had a script generated from tcng that worked perfectly before i
started serving PPPoE.
the issue is not in the script it self BUT in that "tc" code is not
shaping on the ethernet anymore BUT INSTEAD
on the pppX devices. I tested it and talking jargon, what should i do?
The issue is that for each PPPoE login, PPPoE-server

Multiple client code pages?
Hi guruz,
I've just installed samba 2.2.7 and I'd like to
set multiple code page support.
We use roman, chinese and cyrillic letters
in our documents and in file names.
I've already set
client code page = 852
character set = ISO8859-2
But now if I copy our chinese or russian
documents to the samba server than it chunks
the file names and makes _~0%.doc, _~w2.doc
and similar names

Sorry for posting to this list but could not find step by step
instructions anywhere nor get any concerned list to respond.
Newbie to DNS technicals but can work with instructions if given
in ./configure for complete idiots ;-)

put up an entry in APNIC whois (please check the same)...to me it seems

SIP calls cause Segmentation Fault
I have an asterisk installation at a client, it's quite simple.
Basically it's an asterisk downloaded from CVS about
a week ago, with 3 Zaptel FXO cards (the digium ones)
and 10 Grandstream Budgettone SIP phones ...
Every now and then, especially when a call is ringing
and not picked up immediately, Asterisk quits with
a segmentation fault error. IT seems quite inexplicable,

IAX2 - DualServer Problem

I have two asterisk servers and I want to make these servers call each
other as they were internal. I have succeeded in one way. Server B can
call Server A without problem, but Server A cannot call Server B.
Here's the iax configuration of servers
Server A:

auth=rsa
context=from-internal
host=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX
inkeys=ipek

RoutesKeeperProject
Hi
An earlier post sited the following links as helpful for setting up multiple
external IPs:
http://selab.edu.ms/twiki/bin/view/Networking/MultihomedLinuxNetworking
http://selab.edu.ms/twiki/bin/view/Networking/RoutesKeeperProject
I''ve tried repeatedly to follow these links, but they seem to be dead. Does
anyone have this information that they could share, or know where else I can

'Account disabled due to email bouncing' madness
We have a mail filter ( CanIt, by Roaring Penguin, see
http://www.roaringpenguin.com ) that is doing a very good job indeed of
blocking spam and viruses.
And I certainly get a lot from this list ... so much that without the
use of CanIt, I would have already had to retire my email address, and
possibly even our entire domain, to avoid the constant march of crap.
But ... the list server keeps

Basic iproute configuration questions
I''ve managed to get myself confused with what is probably quite simple
so if there''s any definitive documentation then please give me pointers.
I''ve read and tried the nano.txt document, that''s what I''ve based my
current setup on and it isn''t working at the moment.
I have two external links, a DSL link on eth1 and a cable link on eth2.

RE: Does anyone know a PPPoE Server for Bering?
Does anyone know a PPPoE Server for Bering ?
I don''t know anything about Bering (a quick search shows an Internet
Firewall device and Floppy distro...) but anyways; I have had luck
with RP-PPPoE (http://www.roaringpenguin.com/products/rp-pppoe/)
which does include a PPPoE server. I have my pppd patched to support
RADIUS so that it can talk to my FreeRadius rig in the testing
lab....

Load Balancer setting for Public Servers

I have finished setting up the load balancer with IPROUTE ... also patch the

LARTC website, Julian Anastasov, and the kind people in this mailing list.
Now I would like to launch a web server and a ftp server to the public but
I''m stuck into a problem and really need your help.

ADMNISTRATOR PRIVILEGIES ON SAMBA 2.2.8 PDC
Hello guruz.
I have big trouble. I installed SAMBA 2.2.8 from 2.2.3a. My problem is about
administrator privilegies. When I log on some WIN2k workstation as root of
SAMBA domain I have no admin privilegies as domain administrator(remote
admin any workstation, shares modify, policy modify ...). It worked well
before. I was finding solution 2 mounth but without some solution. I have no

before_save with acts_as_versioned
Yes, I know about the :if/:if_changed clause on acts_as_versioned
... content_changed or author_changed ....
That''s not what I''m asking about.
What I''m wondering about is something like applying the spiffy new 2.0
sanitize as a ''before_save''

Can rsyncd be set to require compression?
Hi,
rsyncd.conf allows you to forbid compression. I'd like a way
for it to require compression, either by forcing the option
on or forbidding transfers from clients that don't request
--compress
Is such a thing possible?

David.

Hi Peter.
No I did not. Do I have to compile it? Can you give me more info what to
do?
