latex writer in gnome?
Does anybody know the gnome program that you can write in latex with please? I'm not sure but I think its in the base repo. Its not winefish as it (winefish) doesn't compile the source text like the program that I'm looking for does. Hopefully thanks Sharon. -- 16:41:46 up 1 day, 16:56, 2 users, load average: 1.54, 1.45, 1.51 A taste of linux

Explorer freezes browsing certain samba folders
Greetings, I'm running into some curious and undesirable behaviour from windows explorer when I browse certain folders in my samba share - explorer freezes for some considerable time before displaying the contents with their little icons. I think it can be put into the ARMA framework, and estimated with the 'arima' function (and others have made similar comments on this list). I have tried to do that, but the results have so far been disappointing. Maybe I am trying to make 'arima' do something it can't... The data are time series of

Hi, I'm trying to replace a windows fileserver server with a Fedora Core 2 samba server in our Windows 2000 ADS domain. A performance problem occurs when accessing certain samba shares from Windows Explorer on either an Windows XP or a W2K client machine. It can take up to a minute for explorer to list files in a share folder containing only a few files! It eventually does, but but reports
