regression tests still fail for R version 2.10.0
Hello, on Mon Nov 9 17:57:04 CET 2009 I've sent an e-mail to the R mailing list (see below), about a failing regression test. Yet nobody replied, while (obviously) the situation didn't change (installation still fails, and might continue to do so in the future). I wonder whether somebody has to say something here? Shall a bug report be submitted? Or will R 2.10.1 have fixed the bug?

Re: Re: XAPI on debian - sr-create issue
You''re right scout the last line. Out looks like xapi is waiting on tapdisk to plug a key into xenstore. Perhaps a udev rule problem? Perhaps someone who knows more about tapdisk than I well be able to diagnose this tomorrow. Mike Sent from Samsung tablet Sébastien RICCIO <sr@swisscenter.com> wrote: Of course, here it is attached. Samba Winbind Error
I am attempting to setup a RHEL4 client to authenticate against a Windows 2003 R2 Active Directory Domain Controller. I am following the Samba HowTo Chapter 24 on Winbind, and everything works until I try to list out users from the AD. Here's what I get: # /usr/bin/wbinfo -u Error looking up domain users I can, however list out groups in this fashion: # /usr/bin/wbinfo -g

Unable to load CM01/02 savefile in CMScout 2.00
Hi! I recently got my hands on a free legal copy of Championship Manager 01/02 for Mac (link here (http://champman0102.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?4204-Official-Game-Patches-%28MAC%29) for those interested) and having played CM01/02 a lot on PC back in the days I got excited. The game runs fine. The problem lies in a scout utility called CMScout I always use when playing CM01/02. Basically what

Restrict access to [homes] share
G'day, I'd like to know how to restrict access to the [homes] share. Currently, each user is able to read/write to his/her own share, and by typing \\machine\anotheruser can open another user's share and read/write there too. I would like to restrict access so that a user can only read/write to their own share only. Here is some of the relevant config: [global] workgroup = ASDF

Help with smbpasswd file
Is there a procedure for copying the smbpasswd from an old machine to a new machine (fresh samba build), and have the new machine recognize the old smbpasswd file? Both machines are aix 6.1 and Samba version 3.5.12. I copied all of the .tdb files but that didn't seem to work. The new machine does not seem to know what is in /usr/local/samba/private/smbpasswd. Below is my smb.conf

[LLVMdev] Source-to-Source transformations
Dear LLVM Members, I have started using LLVM for my project two weeks ago and I would be grateful if you could give me some information for writing a source-to-source transformation pass. More specifically, I want to apply a source-level transformation is some functions of my input program in order to create work chunks. For example, given the following function: void foo() {

numerical differentiation
Hi, I would like like to compute first and second derivative from numerical data. I hoped I could compute a spline object from the data (that works), and then compute the derivative from that spline objects, but I couldn't find anything like that. Does somebody know how to get numerical derivatives? Oliver -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

tree-drawing in R ?
Hello, I wonder whether binary (rooted) trees with simple labels (say, integers) can be drawn by some R-package? Couldn't find one. Just to make sure (since "trees" can be many things): I mean those computer-science creatures, with roots and subtrees. Thanks for your consideration in any case Oliver P.S. Perhaps there is some graph-drawing package? (Here a "graph"

how to install R really *locally*?
Hello, my first attempt at installing version 2.9.0 failed because I got an error "Error in library(pspline) : there is no package called 'pspline'" Later I realised that this comes from HOME/.RProfil, and removing that files "solves" that problem. However, I'm actually glad that this error happened, since it shows a deeper problem (which is actually not solved

Strange device labeling in 6.3
I have just installed 6.3 on a machine that was previously running 5.8. Under 5.8 eth0 was eth0. Now with 6.3 /sbin/ifconfig gives me lo, wlan0 and p4p1 (instead of eth0). I would like to make the ethernet a static IP as I intend to for this to be machine used on my LAN only. However, when I do /usr/sbin/setup -> Network Configuration the device is not listed. Can anyone tell me why this is
