[Bridge] RFC: [PATCH] bridge vlan integration
Hi, The attached patches enables the bridge to filter and forward packets according to their IEEE 802.1q headers. The goals behind this change include : - Enable running STP on 802.1q tagged networks. STP packets must be untagged. It isn't obvious how else to enable STP with the current bridge and vlan code. - Add native support for an untagged vlan. Currently an untagged vlan can

Tinc improvements
Dear Guus, I've attached my first git commit to your repository. It does not contain any new functionalities, but it is a first try to interact with your git copy. Could you please verify, if you can push this commit to your repository? If it works, I'll send you the rest of my work, which contains: 1) some small improvements in logging (using flags instead of counters) 2) the

ESFQ Modification
Hi! Some time ago I faced a problem in limiting traffic on host with multiple uplinks. Since all the stuff worked nice seemed that there will be no problems. But then I realized that P2P users are smart enough to bypass limits as sfq doesn''t give fair sharing in this case (thousands of connections from one user versus few from the other). I tried IMQ but it''s instability in my

filter ingress policy based on nfmark
Hi all. Since I move on to 2.6 kernel , filter ingress policy based on nfmark won´t work. Sorry for my english. Simple example: iptables -t mangle -I PREROUTING -j MARK --set-mark 1 ${QDISC_ADD} handle ffff: ingress ${FILTER_ADD} parent ffff: protocol ip prio 100 handle 1 fw \ police rate 128Kbit burst 10k drop flowid 2:11 # tc -s -d qdisc ls dev eth0 qdisc ingress ffff: ----------------

[PATCH] Use nfmark as a key for u32 classifier
Hello! I am glad to announce a patch for u32 to allow matches on nfmark. The patch is non intrusive (few lines). Why I did this? Because fw classifier cannot be used together with u32. For example, now, you cannot match a mark of 0x90 and a destination port of 80. I know you can do it with iptables to do the marking, but if you use Jamal actions to apply mark to policed packets, you need

HTB + GRED (santa clauss plz help me out)
I ''ve been trynig for a long time now to make HTB and GRED to work togethen. The problem beeing that GRED doesn''t use handles (instead it uses DP:1 DP:2 etc) i can not preperly filter traffic to them. Tomas Graf suggested to use the tc_index index of u32 classifier so dear Sant .. i am currently with the following scripts that works! But when i try to add an HTB before the

GRED & HTB
Hi, I am tring to setup AF on my router using GRED/HTB. I plan to mark and set the DSCP with iptables and the ingress qdisc to set the tc_index for the proper GRED vq(1-12). My question is: Is there a way to allow for priority between the af classes and within the af classes? also would it be possible to to the following: HTB(6Mb) | GRED(1)grio HTB1 (af1) (1MB) GRED(1-3)grio |

VQs in Gred!
Hello, We know, VQs are used in Gred to offer different schedulers, in order to make clear what the VQs are, I have read the sch_gred.c in net/sched/. In the function gred_enqueue(), at first it will find the VQ(q) according to the lower four bits of the skb->tc_index, then some parameters of the q is modified, such as q->packetsin and q->bytesin. At last the packet was put into the

Unknown filter "tcindex" ?
Hi: Execuse me if this has been mentioned before, I''ve looked around the archive but did not find anything about the problem I met. I''m trying to use tcindex to classify the the packet outgoing to one interface. I do as the following : tc q a dev eth0 root handle 10:0 cbq bandwidth 10Mbit avpkt 1500 tc c a dev eth0 parent 10:0 classid 10:1 cbq bandwidth 10Mbit rate

[PATCH 1/3] ipv6: Select fragment id during UFO/GSO segmentation if not set.
If the IPv6 fragment id has not been set and we perform fragmentation due to UFO, select a new fragment id. When we store the fragment id into skb_shinfo, set the bit in the skb so we can re-use the selected id. This preserves the behavior of UFO packets generated on the host and solves the issue of id generation for packet sockets and tap/macvtap devices. This patch moves ipv6_select_ident()

Compilation of ferret C-extension under Windows.
Hi, David. I have recently fixed ferret C sources and successfully compile extension with MSVC.Net The problem was that MS compiler is more stricter that GCC and require that all variables were declared before using. There was ~30 such declaration. I have fixed them all. But I am not sure that it works because tests failed with following error both on clean and patched versions. So seems that it

These tc commands used to work... what''s broken them?
I have a Gentoo Linux (kernel 2.6.11) server. Several months ago, I made a traffic shaping setup for my box (running a 2.4 kernel then) that worked beautifully. It gave high priority to SSH and RealAudio traffic, and put HTTP downloading traffic on a lower prio so they could only use what bandwidth was left. However, I''ve only just realized that tc is no longer accepting the commands I
