Sip Traffic
Hi. there is a way to MARK udp VOIP (SIP) traffic, in order to put in a highest prio class ? Traffic flow seems start on udp 5060 port, but next both server and client seems jump to a random(?) port. I can''t use CONNMARK because is udp traffic. I only see a pattern for L7 patch in order to SIP traffic identification , but I run 2.4 kernel series . When you patch 2.4 kernel with

esfq ? or wrr ?
Hi If I have a HTB class with 128kbit, and I want to put "N" users in that class ( in order to share bandwidth fairly ) , which is better for me ? esfq (hash dst) or wrr ? I would attach esfq or wrr to HTB parent class. Also I''ve readed on Jim script that over WRR put a RED qdisc, but I don''t understand it. bests andres

Load Balancing/NAT
Hey, I''m trying to set up a Gentoo box to replace an aging BSD box here. The BSD box is running packet filter and I have it set up to take all data and route it to one of six sattelites. I have come up with the following config, but unfortunately I have no real way to test it short of switching the satellites over to the new system and prayer. The setup is: 192.168.252/22 - The LAN

Asterisk IAX over VSAT satellite.
Hi all, For some reason VSAT or Satellite Internet services are not mentioned (or searchable) in this list's archives. I thought I'd let you know that I tested Asterisk using IAX (not IAX2) to make a phone call from an analog phone hooked up to an Asterisk system behind a Linksys router connected to a Gilat VSAT satmodem, and it worked. The "other end" (gateway) is a

OT Mexican domains?
Hola! In case there are some mexican readers here... It is little difficult for an english speaker to find information about mexican domains. Is it possible to register a domain like "fiesta.mx"? I have seen sites selling ".com.mx" and similar but not just ".mx". Thanks, Peter

6TB SCSI RAID vs. Centos
I have an Infortrend RAID box I'd like to see as one big 6TB partition, but I only can get 2.2TB partitions to work. I was trying to do this with an Adaptec controller but apparently they are only (any of them) 48 bits wide. Does anybody have a working system for SCSI/Centos over 2.2TB? PRI dialout problem with some numbers...
I have an Asterisk server (1.4.13) using PRI in Monterrey, Mexico. This is really the first server I have used with PRI in Mexico as we normally use MFC/R2. Everything seems to be working except that some numbers always seem to be busy when you dial them. All these numbers belong to different phone companies. I know that with R2 this problem is present if you have a "#define

Calling Party Category Field
For the past month I've been having trouble dialing certain numbers. We have Asterisk 1.4.14, Zaptel 1.4.7, Libpri 1.4.2 on a CentOS 5 server. We are using PRI on a TE110P card /etcwith a provider called Alestra in Monterrey, Mexico. There are some numbers that whenever we dial them we always get a busy tone. These numbers do not all belong to the same provider, but they all do not

How to minimize authentication traffic
Hi, i have to set up a new server far away from home. At the central i have a Win 2008 native AD server with a samba AD member. Now i have to install a new server at an other location with a 1 Mbit/s connection. I don't know yet how reliable the connection will be. The users "faraway" should not need to manual authenticate to fileservers in the Central. What would you

zph patch website broken ?
Hi, I used to patch my squid with ZPH patch on http://www.it-academy.bg/zph/ > The idea behind this patch is to allow classification > of packets generated from the squid cache engine towards > clients. > The classification is based on whether the content is > being served from cache (a cache HIT), or > is being retrieved from a remote server (a cache MISS). WITHOUT encasing the whole body of the module in an if statement. What I''m looking for: class somemodule { #no this isnt going to be a global variable I''m just using that as an example, if
