UserEngine testing
Hi Everybody, I''m playing around with the engines created by James Adam and I bumped into the following. I would like the rake bootstrap command to use the testing database and I just know there''s an easy way to do so. I could have just copied the dev db''s to the test db''s but I think I''m missing something fundamental here. Hints are very welcome.

Actually I have a Many to Many relationship between tables and I''m trying to realize

Wild ideas about fixtures
Hello everybody, I wanted to bring testing to a higher level The first idea was calling a rake script from within the test_helper ... to be honest, I don''t have a clue how to do this ... though I''m probably not going to do this, I would love to know how I could if I wanted too. The second Idea was using using the Fixture script from Geoffrey Grosenbach. also in test_helper,

TLS ca/cert/key creation
Really Rowland? As quoted: >> I believe I need to examine TLS since when I set "ldap server require >> strong auth = allow_sasl_over_tls" or "ldap server require strong >> auth = yes" user and group queries fail. This is OBVIOUSLY using LDAP and TLS. If this was via NTLM/Kerberos, the above setting wouldn't make the slightest difference. But all that

IMAPS - timeout while moving mails
Hi, I'm using Dovecot v1.0.beta5 (NetBSD 3.0, i386) and Mozilla Thunderbird 1.5 (XP, i386). My dovecot.conf is pretty simple, because I just use dovecot for me as the only user. However, when I try to move a 'larger' amount of mails (>200) from my local TB-mbox to the remote IMAPS-storage, the process hangs after about 150 - 160 transferred mails (the 'blocking' mail

video capture via nvidia g3, cento5 (rhel5) - arrrgghhh
I've never messed with video capture on a linux system, and someone point me the right direction? I've been googling like crazy, and can't seem to get any good pointers. I'm trying to get some kind of video capture working and eventually get a live cam setup and security setup with motion sensing. I've given up on getting my USB webcam to work. I'm now trying via the

unable to generate doc for 0.5
Hi Thimas, This morning, i''ve tried to generate documentation for webgen head and was sad to see that not the slightest generated content was added to generated files. All the layout is present, but no generated content seems to be added. Additionnaly, there are a bunch of warnings displayed during generation. For that, I''ve done a ruby bin/webgen -d doc in the webgen directory.

Rglpk
Hi list, in the Rglpk_solve_LP function (::Rglpk), on line 26, the function calls a function as.glp_bounds() that i cannot access. i'm trying to alter the Rglpk_solve_LP function to add a line to retrieve column/row dual values. everytime i change the slightest line of code inside Rglpk_solve_LP() [to even add a print] i get a ': could not find function "as.glp_bounds"'

Problem with a barplot...
Hello, I'm having a bit of a problem with a plot, and I'm hoping that someone might be able to help. I'm running the R Cocoa Gui v1.12 on OS X 10.4.2, and I'm doing a stacked bar plot. The plot itself is quite simple: barplot(as.matrix(s.strats.in),main="Strategy when strong", col=strat.col) where s.strats.in is a matrix with a number of rows that define the height

Changing default nic and storage types
Hi, Simple question that I can't track down any notable discussion about, let alone an answer... Is it possible to define what the "default" nic and storage types are? I am deploying images out of cobbler using koan and all of them are running virtio wherever applicable, but this is not the default, and at present there is no way within koan or cobbler to define what type of

2.6 I/O path totally messed up
The second argumentto generic_file_write_nolock is an iovec, not an actual userbuffer. The current code doesn't even have the slightest chance to work. Maybe it's time to decouple the 2.6 read/write code from the 2.4 code and implement proper vectored operations everywhere? (and kill tge O_DIRECT vs O_APPEN hack, and the broken fallback code, and..)

crontab won't work
Hi, I have a strange problem here. I have two servers, one dedicated webserver, and a local backup server. On the webserver I have this : [root at 12569hpv163154:~] # crontab -l 00 22 * * * /usr/local/bin/sauvegarde-pmbccps.sh This launches a backup script every day at 22:00, and it works as expected. Now here's what I have on the local backup server : [root at grossebertha:~] # crontab

Weird function call problem
Hi, I'm encountering a very odd problem with calls to anova.mlm() from within a function. Consider the following code (data.n is a matrix of numeric values): mlmfit <- lm(data.n ~ 1) mlmfit0 <- lm(data.n ~ 0) print(mlmfit) anova(mlmfit,mlmfit0,test="Spherical") If I run it just like this from the console, it works just fine. If, however, I call it from within a function,
