ip aliasing and loadbalancing with iproute2
Hi,
We have two internet connections and I would like to loadbalance between the
two using advanced routing. The gateway machine to my lan has two
interfaces, one connected to lan(eth0) and other to wan (eth1). The wan
side interface is connected to a switch which is terminated with two
internet connections from two ISPs.
I have added the routes as follows,

cmd SIPRedirect for loadbalancing
Hi folks,
I've just been reading about the above command and wonder if anyone has
made use of it for load-balancing or if doing so would be completely
inappropriate!?
I'm thinking of the scenario where there are a number of Asterisk
gateways and incoming SIP traffic. From what I've read, with a box in
front receiving all incoming traffic the SIPRedirect command could be

[Q] loadbalancing with LARTC
Hi~
My linux box(kernel 2.4.13; used for NAT) have 3 NICs, two of them are for
ADSL(I have two adsl line) and the last is for private network. My ISP
doesn''t support multilink.
In this situation, How can I use both ppp lines for the internet(load
shareing or balancing)?
Thanks.
Lee.

Hi Daniel,
First of all, awfully sorry for replying so late. Unfortunately your reply
had gone to the Spam drawer...
Also, I'm answering from Gmail's webmail which IIRC only allows for 'quote

netiquette of 'quote original post above'.

Routed network can't reach outside network
Greetings folks.
I've setup libvirtd on my manjaro linux laptop.
Got a couple of VM's running (Win10 and Debian10) through NAT without any
issues.
This is what the current network diagram looks like and it works fine:

gre/ipsec loadbalancing
Hi, I have the following setup. Two linux systems with two [test] external interfaces encrypted with ipsec [transport].
Two gre tunnels that pass 10.200.0.0/24 and 10.200.1.0/24 network traffic.
Testing the balanced tunnels I would setup iptraf on one and ping from the other. The results would be as expected; traffic would be split between the two interfaces.
Testing with an ftp transfer of

multiple sql servers - loadbalancing and failover
Hi,
Is there a way for dovecot to use a pool of sql (mysql) servers and load
balance queries between these?
Also fallback to next available sql server if connection to previous one
fails.
Can dovecot do such things currently? (If not this is feature request).

Downloading a great number of files from different rsync servers for good loadbalancing and high efficiency.
Hi all,
I'm using Debian, I want to make a local repository which can let me
install packages more conveniently.
Considering that the rsync tool is the Debian official proposed tool for
syncing the files among its different rsync server sites, I use the rsync
client to downloading the deb packages from the different rsync servers
distributed around the world-wide for good loadbalancing and

LoadBalancing on many asimetric different dsl''s.
Hi,
my company have just bought new network and I have question about one problem.
As in topic we must use few completely different dsl''s and balance traffic between them.

M=Mb/s
I''ve never done such thing before so I have doubts how it will work. If the links are symmetric 2/2 4/4 8/8 there is no problem because with weights I can compensate the

Iptables blocks out going connetion some times
Hi?guys.
There is a wierd problem with iptables recently, hopes somebody can help me.
I have installed Centos 7.2.1511 on a bare metal Dell server these days,
disabled firewalld and enabled iptables.services, and setup a group of very
simple rules, as the following:
# iptables-save
# Generated by iptables-save v1.4.21 on Tue Apr 23 09:15:14 2019
*filter
:INPUT ACCEPT [0:0]
:FORWARD ACCEPT

答复: Iptables blocks out going connetion some times
Hello, Stephen, thank you for input.
Yes, these servers have the same firewall rules, and both of them have the same problem from time to time, most of time they are good.
Actually, these servers are newly installed to be used as the Glusterfs storage server, so not much data flowing at this time.
