Testing against 1.8.4
So apparently 1.8.4 is soon forthcoming. We need testing against it.

Rails 0.12.1: No major update without a bit of pain

Revisiting the rewriting
Since the WEBrick server has been so beefed up in Rails 0.9, I think
it''s a darn shame that its lingering outside the support of custom
pretty URLs. Also, it seems that the connection between mod_rewrite and
url_for and friends is pretty fuzzy for most people.

Differentiating between normal site content and accounts with subdomains
I''m using the subdomains as accounts method fine on a project, but
I''m wondering what is the best way to differentiate between account
subdomains to access the app using an account, and www.domain.com and
domain.com in order to show normal site content.

Been thinking about something lately and wanted to hear what others
thought. After watching the video[1] of DHH with the slides[2] I really

be able to customize the first and last rows.

Bind Variables in Active Record
OK, I have some basic functionality to support bind variables, it
appears to work with the ''old'' %s style too.
I''ve altered sanitize_conditions in
activerecord/lib/active_record/base.rb to check whether bind variables
are in the statement (/\?/). If they are, replace all the ?s to
escaped values from the arguments array. else santize and expand.

Hi all,
Here''s another contribution for anyone interested.
In Railscast episode 28, Ryan Bates showed us in_groups_of which
allows you to group array members such as
>> list = [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
=> [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]
>> list.in_groups_of(3)
=> [[1, 2, 3], [4, 5, 6], [7, nil, nil]]
This allows you to iterate over the groups and, for example, display

RaislsEdge - where to get latest javascripts ?
To play with RJS I just made a "rake freeze edge". But this copies only the
libs into vendor/rails and any attempt of "rake update_javascripts" fails.
But all the he required javascripts are there, at:
BASEPATH/vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_view/helpers/javascripts/
Except of prototype, they seem to have no version number, so I am asking
whether I should take those
