rule fwmark desn''t work for local packets (output chain)
Witam wszystkich
After few days with yours help I''ve succeeded with setup of load-balancing.
Now I have problem with next step. I want to mark some packets and than put
them to the one of the routing tables to force them going via only one
interface with only one ip. Easy?? Ofcourse, but not for me :(.
I''m NOT using NAT.
Chain OUTPUT (policy ACCEPT 71 packets, 24227

Re: Load-banancing. two ip''s from one isp - solution
hi for those who was fallowing this topic I can say that
IP_ROUTE_MULTIPATH_CACHED must be disabled! After few tests I''m quite sure that this was cousing my problems. Now I''m using 2.5.15 kernel without patch of Julian Anastasov and load-balancing is working.
lartc split-access how to and http://www.ssi.bg/~ja/nano.txt now both are working fine
Now I will try to use fwmark

Hi Szymon,
I have received the files and will take a look and get back to you.

Rebalance task fails
Hi Nithya,
I see index in context:
[2017-07-07 10:07:18.230202] E [MSGID: 106062]
[glusterd-utils.c:7997:glusterd_volume_rebalance_use_rsp_dict]
0-glusterd: failed to get index
I wonder if there is anything I can do to fix it.
I was trying to strace gluster process but still have no clue what
exactly is gluster index.
Best regards,

How to fight with encrypted p2p
Hi
I believe that whole question is in topic.
Is there any way to recognize ( and then shape ) p2p traffic which is encrypted?
Modern p2p clients have this ability moreover some of them have this enabled by default.
Now I''m using ipp2p for iptables but as I know this doesn''t recognize encrypted traffic.
Thanks in advance.

small files performance
Where did you read 2k IOPS?
Each disk is able to do about 75iops as I'm using SATA disk, getting even
closer to 2000 it's impossible

using speex in C#
You could compile Speex as a DLL (see libspeex_dynamic.dsp) and use PInvoke.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PInvoke
Note that Speex will still be executing as unmanaged code and your program
will have the added dependency of the native Speex DLL.
It appears that someone created a "Speex.NET" based on JSpeex, but I
didn't find any useful info on it. You may want to search for this

Rebalance task fails
Hi Nithya,
the files were sent to priv to avoid spamming the list with large attachments.
Could someone explain what is index in Gluster?
Unfortunately index is popular word, so googling is not very helpful.

Little question about imq device
Witam
I''ve found many examples where packets are redirected to IMQ device
in PREROUTING chain for ingress traffic shaping purposes.
But is there any sense in redirecting packets to IMQ in FORWARD
chain also for ingress traffic shaping purposes?

configurable sieve_max_redirects
Witam
Sieve implementation in dovecot 1.2 have hard-coded limit for max
redirect: SIEVE_DEFAULT_MAX_REDIRECTS 4.
I have to rise this to much higher value, e.g. 64. Is there possibility
to do this another way than recompiling source?
Maybe adding an option to dovecot.conf in plugin section will be a good
idea.

LoadBalancing on many asimetric different dsl''s.
Hi,
my company have just bought new network and I have question about one problem.
As in topic we must use few completely different dsl''s and balance traffic between them.
2M/0,5M 4Mb/0,5M 8M/0,5M
M=Mb/s
I''ve never done such thing before so I have doubts how it will work. If the links are symmetric 2/2 4/4 8/8 there is no problem because with weights I can compensate the

Simple routing question from networking newbie
I''ve recently got a new modem. In fact, it''s a modem-router with NAT
functionality. Before I had a plain modem-modem, and I was able to
access my workstation from my remote server using the IP address
assigned to me by my ISP. Now however, that IP address only reaches
the modem-router and the IP address of my workstation is set by my
modem-router to 192.168.0.2
How can I

Disable password complexity does not work?
Hello
I use Samba 4.0.9 and want to disable strong passwords. I've run:
./samba-tool domain passwordsettings set --complexity=off
But it seems to not work. If users try to change password via
ctrl+alt+del windows still require strong password. Restarting samba to
commit change did not solve problem.
Is there something i forgot? On my old configuration with old (RIP)
server it worked

Bug in all versions of OpenSSH
Hi,
I found a bug in all versions of SSH. I'll give you an example when the
bug occurs. When I connect to a remote computer using 'ssh
user at host.somewhere.in.th.net.com /bin/bash' (or /bin/tcsh) I log into
the remote computer and SSHD doesn't log this in wtmp, utmp, secure and
lastlog. It's *only* visible in /var/log/messages. That's all I want to
tell You. I hope
