GridTableBase problem
Trying to setup a GridTableBase to hold some floating point numbers for
a Grid. Getting an error with the following:

Segfault with GridCellChoiceEditor
I have a problem.
In my application I have a few Grid objects in a Notebook. The Grid objects
are populated via GridTableBase. Certain Grid cells need to have a choice
interface (I''m artificially enforcing foreign key constraints). All this
works to the point where you try to edit the value for that cell. The
choice box renders (i.e. the drop down arrow appears) then the application

wxRuby 1.9.9 released

On Linux, the default binary gem is now dynamically linked to wxWidgets.

Tagged wxruby2 v0.0.29, plus added more directors
Since things seemed to be somewhat stable (that is, wxruby2 compiles and
runs on all three platforms), I tagged what has been there for a couple
days as v0_0_29. Nothing magic about it, but it had been a while since I
had tagged.

Just a quick note to say we released a new version, 1.9.4. The main
purpose of this release is to offer an OS X gem that''s compatible with
both 10.4 and 10.5 - The wxruby-1.9.3 OS X binary gem would only work
with version 10.5 (Leopard).

Mouse wheel events in a grid cell editor?
I''m trying to do some advanced editing using Grids. I''ve created my own
editors and updating view and model both works fine so far. Thanks to
whoever made this possible. I like wxRuby more each day!

Please change all longs to int, and never use them in the future :)
They arent needed as on most platforms they are the same size. (which is the assumption made in the ogg code anyway)
The reason for this is i will have vorbis support on playstation 2, but long is 64 bits, and they are excruciatingly slow.

Text in boxes for regular web pages
I have to say... since it''s bugged me _many_ times, that i *hate* these text boxes
with the sliders that are being used to display text (for instance, on Rails
documentation pages... but it''s not just Rails). Very often you can''t really read

RCurl compilation error on ubuntu hardy
Dear list members,
I encountered this problem and the solution pointed out in a previous
thread did not work for me.
(e.g. install.packages("RCurl", repos = "http://www.omegahat.org/R")
I work with Ubuntu Hardy, and installed R 2.6.2 via apt-get.
I really need RCurl in order to use biomaRt ... any help would be
greatly appreciated.
