Realtime Pattern Matching
Hello All, Looking for a little guidance on Real Time Pattern Matching. We are attempting to block outbound 411 via when someone dials NXX-555-XXXX, The must common being NXX-555-1212. However, We have some outbound providers that consider any call to NXX-555-XXXX a directory assistance call. So simply making my pattern _NXX5551212 doesn't work. So as you can see from the lines

Slow Samba when added new hard drive
Hi, I've used Samba several years without any problems. Last week I added a new disk to my system, and Samba started to behave very strange. It's slow in terms of establish a connection and time to list directories. I've tried to resolve the problem without success. No other daemon has problems, both ftp and http works fine as well as internal communication. Below I've attached

ggplot2, geomtile fill assignment
Dear R help, I have some readings in three dimensions (x, y, z) and an amplitude for each. I'd like to visualize the data using ggplot, using tile plots, as I have some additional point data I would like to eventually overlay on the tile plots. I would like to subset the data by sections, slices if you will, in the z dimension, and plot the data for that slice. I can do all of this, but am

Kernel lockup (kjournald?)
I am getting an odd situation when backing up a number of ext3 filesystems and was wondering if it could be caused by journalling. Over the space of a minute the load average will jump from 2 to over 40 and the system will be unresponsive for anywhere from 8 to 25 minutes. I am going to be trying a number of things, but was wondering if anyone could see the reason for the high load given the

Prediction from arima() object (library ts) (PR#2305)
Full_Name: Allan McRae Version: 1.6.0 OS: Win 2000 P Submission from: (NULL) (129.215.190.229) When using predict.Arima in library ts(), it appears differencing is only accounted for in the first step of prediction and so any trend is not apparent in the predictions. The example shows the difference between the predictions of an arima(1,1,1) model and the backtransformed predictions of an

quantile regression problem
Dear List members, I would like to ask for advise on quantile regression in R. I am trying to perform an analysis of a relationship between species abundance and its habitat requirements - the habitat requirements are, however, codes - 0,1,2,3... where 0<1<2<3 and the scale is linear - so I would be happy to treat them as continuos The analysis of the data somehow does not work, I am

regression? no more separate xscreens
Dear Devs, The support for multiple xscreens (i.e. no xinerama, just separate :0.0 and :0.1 displays) in nouveau is broken. It would be great if someone could confirm this. It is easily done, by commenting the "xinerama" option from the xorg.conf file: https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/MultiMonitorDesktop/ With the nvidia proprietary drivers separate xscreens work fine. Could
