XEN/arm XENFB support
Goodmorning,
I''m currently playing with XEN/arm on my Allwinner A20 (cubieboard2)
I would like to get the XENFB driver working on domU.
But currently in xen/arm there''s no support for VFB, atleast qemu is not
supported.
But this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=po1IeElg8tg and this one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Km6gBnIqaWo is showing a working framebuffer.
So there are

[PATCH] tools: revert to using /var and /etc/
26470:acaf29203cf9 "tools+stubdom: install under /usr/local by
default" moved more stuff under /usr/local than was desirable.
In particular SYSCONFIG_DIR (configuration for initscripts) moved to
/usr/local/etc/{sysconfig,defaults} while the initscripts themselves
(correctly) remained in /etc/init.d. Moving /etc/xen/scripts breaks
the udev bakcned rules file. Lastly stuff under /var was

[PATCH] hotplug/Linux: add sysconfig tags to xencommons
YaST2 sysconfig can logically group the various sysconfig settings if the
files are tagged. Add the missing (YaST specific) tags to xencommons.

[PATCH 00/13] Patch blast of salsa wip.testme branch
The contents are the wip.testme branch currently on salsa. I combined
the wip.initscript and wip.oxenstored into this and added more things
today. I think this is pretty gtg and it's smoke tested (in several
cases by scping files around instead of doing package build), so it
needs a final extra review and test round before putting it in master
branch (which I don't want to force push).

how to save xm dmesg into a file
Hi,all,
the dmesg have a ring buffer size that is only 16k, so when overflows, some
of the printk() messages get lost. SO could someone please give me a
solution how to save all log message to a file. I don''t have serial port
and cannot use that method to save log on another machine. Thanks!

Bug#770456: Please start a qemu process in domain 0.
Package: xen-utils-common
Version: 4.4.0-1
Severity: important
Tags: patch
Under some circumstances the xl toolstack needs to create a loopback
mount of a guest disk in dom0 (e.g. in order to run pygrub). Depending
on the nature of the guest disk (e.g. qcow2 or raw file image based)
this can require a qemu instance in dom0.
The upstream xencommons starts such a qemu on boot. The following patch

[PATCH] xen/arm: add_to_physmap_one: Avoid to map mfn 0 if an error occurs
By default, the function add_to_physmap_one set mfn to 0. Some code paths that
result to an error, continue and the map the mfn 0 (valid on ARM) to the
slot given by the guest.
To fix the problem, return directly an error if sanity check has failed.

[PATCH] xen/arm: Allow balooning working with 1:1 memory mapping
With the lake of iommu, dom0 must have a 1:1 memory mapping for all
these guest physical address. When the ballon decides to give back a
page to the kernel, this page must have the same address as previously.
Otherwise, we will loose the 1:1 mapping and will break DMA-capable
device.

xenconsole: Could not read tty from store: No such file or directory
Hello Community,
I encountered an error while running "xm console domU". Here is the running
script:
# xm console domU
xenconsole: Could not read tty from store: No such file or directory
I googled and found out that this issue is mostly result from forgetting
starting xenconsole service.
However, after I started xenconsole, the issue is still there. Please see:

[PATCH+RFC+HACK 00/16] xen: arm initial support for xgene arm64 platform
I''m afraid this series is rather a grab bag and it is distressingly
large at this stage. With this series I can boot an Xgene board until it
fails to find its SATA controller. This is a dom0 issue for which
patches are pending from APM (/me nudges Anup).
As well as the APM specific platform stuff there are also some generic
improvements which were either necessary or useful during this

[PATCH v6 00/16] xen: arm: 64-bit guest support and domU FDT autogeneration
Biggest change is to switch the new DTB node to /xen-core-devices
instead of /xen at Stefano''s request.
I also dropped the few patches title HACK etc which weren''t supposed to
be there and fixed up some bits and pieces which folks commented on.
George, WRT the freeze I think this is functionality which we cannot
ship Xen 4.4 without. The impact is entirely constrained to the

Xenstore daemon is not running after boot; although can be started manually later. Any pointers why ?
Hello,
I build and installed Xen (4.1.3) from source, and I think I have got it
working. Well, almost.
I am using unmodified kernel of Fedora16 as my dom0 kernel.
So this is what happened.
I am able to boot into Xen, but the "xl info" failed with the standard
error message mentioned in the tutorial.
"libxl: error: libxl.c:56:libxl_ctx_init Is xenstore daemon running?
