[PATCH] Btrfs-progs: fix missing recow roots when making btrfs filesystem
When making btrfs filesystem. we firstly write root leaf to specified filed, and then we recow the root. If we don''t recow, some trees are not in the correct block group. Hi, The following patches add support for ext4 and btrfs to PV-GRUB. These patches are taken nearly verbatim from those provided by Fedora and Gentoo. We''ve been using these patches for the PV-GRUB images available in EC2 for some time now with no problems. Changes from v1: - Makefile has been changed to check the exit code from patch - The btrfs patch has been rebased to apply

[PATCH] Btrfs: fix crash in log replay with qgroups enabled
When replaying a log tree with qgroups enabled, tree_mod_log_rewind does a sanity-check of the number of items against the maximum possible number. It calculates that number with the nodesize of fs_root. Unfortunately fs_root is not yet set at this stage. So instead use the nodesize from tree_root, which is already initialized. Determine ongoing shutdown via libvirt or preventing migrations to host
Hi list, Is there any function in libvirt to determine runlevel of host or any possibility to prevent VM migrations to that host ? I'm developing simple cluster of 4 servers running KVM VMs. For management I decided to use python-libvirt. It is working in that way, that every VM is diskless and booting via PXE so I can run it on every host server. Every VM has assigned one host as

Re: Determine ongoing shutdown via libvirt or preventing migrations to host
Hi Daniel, Thank you for your reply. I agree that runlevel is not directly related to VM management so it is OK, that it is not implemented in libvirt library. What about prevention of VM migrations, is it acceptable to just close migration port in firewall ? Thank you Ondřej Dne 10.12.2013 14:34, Daniel P. [PATCH 05/12] Btrfs: Avoid orphan inodes cleanup during replaying log
We do log replay in a single transaction, so it''s not good to do unbound operations during replaying log. This patch makes orphan inodes cleanup executed after replaying log. It also avoid doing other unbound operations such as truncating a file during replaying log. These unbound operations are postponed to the orphan inode cleanup stage. Signed-off-by: Yan Zheng

[PATCH] Btrfs: make subvol=0 mount the original default root
Since theres not a good way to make sure the user sees the original default root tree id, and not to mention it''s 5 so is way different than any other volume, just make subvol=0 mount the original default root. This makes it a bit easier for users to handle in the long run. Thanks, Signed-off-by: Josef Bacik <josef@redhat.com> --- fs/btrfs/super.c | 12 +++++++++--- 1 files

So after talking to David Sterba there is no way to tell if a given subvolume is for the entire partition. Also my attempt to "fix" it by using the -o option is unreliable. Richard,

[PATCH] btrfs-progs: add filter for deleted but uncleanded subvolumes
New option to subvolume list that acts as a global filter and applies the other filters to either live subvolumes or the uncleaned ones. [PATCH V2] Btrfs: fix subvolume mount by name problem when default mount subvolume is set
We create two subvolumes (meego_root and meego_home) in btrfs root directory. And set meego_root as default mount subvolume. After we remount btrfs, meego_root is mounted to top directory by default. Then when we try to mount meego_home (subvol=meego_home) to a subdirectory, it failed. The problem is when default mount subvolume is set to meego_root, we search meego_home in meego_root but can not

[PATCH] Btrfs: fix broken nocow after balance
Balance will create reloc_root for each fs root, and it''s going to record last_snapshot to filter shared blocks. The side effect of setting last_snapshot is to break nocow attributes of files. So it turns out that checking last_snapshot does not always ensure that a node/leaf/file_extent is shared. That''s why shared node/leaf needs to search extent tree for number of

Glusterfs performance with large directories
We at Wiseguys are looking into GlusterFS to run our Internet Archive. The archive stores webpages collected by our spiders. The test setup consists of three data machines, each exporting a volume of about 3.7TB and one nameserver machine. File layout is such that each host has it's own directory, for example the GlusterFS website would be located in:
