[PATCH 0/2] Fix btrfs blocksize and bind mkfs.btrfs (RHBZ#807905).
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=807905
Currently if you specify the blocksize parameter to mkfs-opts with a
btrfs filesystem, then it fails, because mkfs.btrfs interprets the -b
option as meaning filesystem size.
The first patch fixes this by disallowing blocksize (it cannot be
mapped meaningfully into btrfs parameters).
The second patch adds the full /sbin/mkfs.btrfs utility to the

Changing node & leaf size on live partition.
Hi,
Question is pretty simple:
"How to change node size and leaf size on previously created partition?"
Now, I know what most people will say: "you should''ve be smarter while
typing mkfs.btrfs". Well, I''m intending to convert in place ext4
partition but there seems to be no option for leaf and node size in this
tool. If it''s not possible I guess

[PATCH 0 of 3 v2] PV-GRUB: add support for ext4 and btrfs
Hi,
The following patches add support for ext4 and btrfs to
PV-GRUB. These patches are taken nearly verbatim from those provided
by Fedora and Gentoo.
We''ve been using these patches for the PV-GRUB images available in EC2
for some time now with no problems.
Changes from v1:
- Makefile has been changed to check the exit code from patch
- The btrfs patch has been rebased to apply

Option LABEL
Hallo, linux-btrfs,
please delete the option "-L" (for labelling) in "mkfs.btrfs", in some
configurations it doesn''t work as expected.
My usual way:
mkfs.btrfs -d raid0 -m raid1 /dev/sdb /dev/sdc /dev/sdd ...
One call for some devices.
Wenn I add the option "-L mylabel" then each device gets the same label,
and therefore some other programs

ssh-add won't look for id_dsa in ssh-clients-2.3.0p1-4 but did in ssh-clients-2.5.1p2-1
I've been running ssh-clients-2.3.0p1-4 on RedHat 7.0 and upgraded to
2.5.1p2-1 yesterday from
ftp://ftp.openbsd.org/pub/OpenBSD/OpenSSH/portable/rpm/SRPMS/.
I noticed that 2.5.1p2-1 ssh-add won't look for id_dsa.pub by default --
if I have no
identity file it just says "/home/klotz/.ssh/identity: No such file or
directory"
The 2.5.1p1-1 I got from RedHat's rawhide site

Hello Developers,
it seems that i discovered a bug in btrfs while testing it on a zSeries
mainframe :-)

wilcox.test p-value = 0
hi, folks,
how have you gone about reporting a p-value from a test when the
returned value from a test (in this case a rank-sum test) is
numerically equal to 0 according to the machine?
the next lowest value greater than zero that is distinct from zero on
the machine is likely algorithm-dependent (the algorithm of the test
itself), but without knowing the explicit steps of the algorithm

Ceph on btrfs 3.4rc
After running ceph on XFS for some time, I decided to try btrfs again.
Performance with the current "for-linux-min" branch and big metadata
is much better. The only problem (?) I''m still seeing is a warning
that seems to occur from time to time:

libguestfs on PPC64
[Note I'm not bothering with 32 bit ppc any more since it is
effectively obsolete.]
Libguestfs now works on ppc64 using the 'direct' backend. You will
need:
- libguestfs 1.23.21 + 7f90aa0998
- supermin 4.1.x (only tested with supermin-4.1.5-2.fc21.ppc64, but
earlier versions should work)
- qemu-system-ppc64 compiled from git (qemu 1.4 & 1.6 known to be broken)

Unable to mount loopback devices in RAID mode
Hi!
I recently tried to mount a filesystem in RAID1 mode using loopback devices. I followed the instructions at [1]. Here''s exactly what I''ve done:
$ dd if=/dev/zero of=raid1_0.img bs=1M count=500
$ dd if=/dev/zero of=raid1_1.img bs=1M count=500
$ mkfs.btrfs -m raid1 -d raid1 raid1_0.img raid1_1.img
$ losetup /dev/loop0 raid1_0.img
$ losetup /dev/loop1 raid1_1.img
$ mount -t
