[PATCH] Add :touch option to has_many associations
Hi,
it would be nice to have the touch option in has_many associations also.
I have a scenario like this:
An user has some credit (money) and some advertises. Each advertise can be
enabled or disabled depending on some rules. One of the rules is that the
user should have money. Each time the money of the user change, the
advertises are touched, enabled/disabled and then cached, as they are much

Select Helper Array of Array + Filter
Noob alert!
Hi, I am having trouble figuring out how to filter a select helper. The
following shows all of the rows in the table but I would like to filter
the collection from the list_name column (:list_name => "Project
Status"):
@project_status = Valuelist.all.collect {|s| [s.list_value,s.id]}
Thanks in advance, James

Testing shorthand array push <<
Hi everyone,
I''m trying to test the shorthand way to push objects into an array. My
controller looks like:
current_user.foos << @foo
and I keep getting an error like Mock ''foos'' received unexpected message :<<
with <FooClass>
does anyone have a good solution for this?
I tried controller.send(:current_user).labels.stub!(:<<).and_return([]) and

RE: Machine accounts are no longer recognized in SAMBA 3.0-20-4
After verifying my smb.conf file, the only thing that changed was this
"panic action" command was added. My smb.conf is attached.
All our workstations stopped working. If I change the computer name,
switch to workgroup, then try to re-join the domain under a different
computer name, it works. Do you know what .tdb file machine information
is stored in.
Also I exported all

How to draw a graph after model selection?
I am very new to R and I basically used SPSS to do my model selection, which
I had used generalized linear model.
So my best model is P= D + T + L + T*L and there is a parameters table from
the SPSS output which I suppose I have to use the coefficients (column B) in
the table (as attached) when I draw my graph in R.
I want to draw a graph in R which x-axis is D, using the model and the

Dynamic attributes!
I want to create a general model ''Product'' that I will be able to
store several attributes in it.
For example the attributes
:id
:name
:description
are pretty stantard. So each product will have this attributes.
However, I wanted to know if it is possible to create dynamic
attributes.
In the case of a cell phone device I might want to store the IMEI of

RE: SWAT not working, can't authenticate
I have had this problem before. Never really got to the bottom of it but if
you want to get on then just add '-a' to your swat command to disable
authentication.

RE: SWAT not working, can't authenticate
Did you make sure localhost resolves? Also, depending on your
/etc/resolv.conf, you may have to fully qualify the host's name including
the DNS domain. I seem to rember having problems with this, and some
combination of using localhost or hostname.domain.edu or using the actual IP
address of the host cleared up the problem.

question about icecast & winamp & media player
Ahah!
I knew I was not the only person who has experienced this with winamp. The
problem here is winamp 2.7. It seems that when I tuned into my shoutcast
servers (when I ran shoutcast) with winamp 2.7 the longest period I could
hold a stream was a little more then an hour. No matter what I did it would
bit the dust. There was some discussion about this on the shoutcast
broadcaster list, but no one

question about icecast & winamp & media player
Hi,
It's been pretty quiet as of late.
I have a question.
I have an icecast server housed at my provider with a very good internet
connection.
At work I'm using an ADSL line, which should be sufficient to listen to
the 128K streams I'm sending out.
However, when I listen with WinAmp, after about half an hour the stream
stutters and stops. I can restart it and listen again but it

Depends: R (>= 4.1) for packages that use |> and \(...)
Hello all,
Would packages using the underscore placeholder with the native pipe need
to also depend on R >= 4.2.0?
There appear to be a number, modifying Ivan's GitHub search:

Minor Bug in Documentation of merge()
Dear all,
I would like to point to a minor bug in the documentation of merge().
The documentation (?merge) says
all logical; all = L is shorthand for all.x = L and all.y = L.
I think the correct description should be
all logical; all = T is shorthand for all.x = T and all.y = T.
The source file which needs to be fixed is
src/library/base/man/merge.Rd
To be sure that it hasn't been fixed

Any interest in various features from "schema_plus" gem?
Hello (I''m new to this group so please pardon any inappropriateness),
I''m a primary maintainer of the schema_plus gem<https://github.com/lomba/schema_plus/>,
which adds some capabilities to rails'' schema definitions. The gem has
been around for several years and is pretty reliable. I''ve been wondering
whether there''d be interest in folding
