Cross-Browser History management
Hi ! Is it plan to release a Browser History Management in Scriptaculous ? Or does anybody know a "prototype" library to manage browser history compatible with IE6, IE7 and FF ? We tried to use Really Simple History: http://code.google.com/p/reallysimplehistory/ But it seems to be incompatible with some Prototype event management. Prototype: Use of /proxy?url= to circumvent the Same Origin Policy
Hi, everyone. I was able to get the Ajax.Request basically working, such that it returns "Damn! You are beyond #10...", but I had to change the "/proxy? url=" to "http://localhost/myApp/proxy.html?url=". Apparently, the response is just my proxy.html page. With "/proxy?url=" in place, WebSphere shows an error: SRVE0017W: A WebGroup/Virtual Host to handle

string.prototype.isNumeric
Hey all, Just had a need for this, wondering if it is a candidate for inclusion as it is only a single line and I can''t seem to spot any other way of acheiving the same functionality in less code. String.prototype.isNumeric = function() { return (this.match(/^\d+$/) != null); } I used it in the context of: Event.observe(el,''keypress'',function (e) { if

Event.observe(myelement, ''click'', myfunc.bindAsEventListener()); That might fix your wagon. no setClassName or removeAllClassNames in prototype - why?
Often I have the need to set one class name to an element. I don''t care what was there before, just remove it and set it to the new class. I don''t see any easy way to remove all the class names or to set just one class name. Why is this? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on

Where to report typos/bugs in the Prototype API online docs?
I was wondering where to report typos/bugs for the Prototype online API docs (http://prototypejs.org/api)? Seems a bit overkill to submit typos to the Rail Trac - but perhaps that''s the correct place? Additionally, the website indicates that this documentation is written in Markdown. Is the documentation from which the online API is generated in SVN? I saw a documentation branch

RE: Prototype: correct useage of onCompletewithAjax.PeriodicalUpdater
The only call that PeriodicalUpdater will make periodically to you is the insertion call. I think of onComplete as being ''I''ve done everything I was going to do'', which for Updater is right after it''s done a single update, but for PeriodicalUpdater, it''s after it''s finished all of its updates, so you''ll only get it once for any call

Prototype Safari onSubmit Issues
Hi folks. Another Prototype question. I have a simple ajax form which I want to return results on an onChange. Works in IE6 (Win) and FF, but Safari doesn''t seem to take the onChange too well. Upon the return key, it blanks out the form. Upon tabbing to the next field (actually the next form), I get the results. <form name="form1" id="form1"

Having posted this ;- http://groups.google.com/group/rubyonrails-spinoffs/browse_thread/thread/f4a18442e59d87f2?hl=en# and got no response, I figured I should report this as a bug so the devs will see it.
