gmime-2.1.19 and mime decoding
Everyone, Please forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask this question, but would sure appreciate some direction if this list is the wrong place. Looks like Fedora 5 and 6 have gmime-2.1.19 as part of the distribution, but it is not present within CentOS 5 or with the extra repositories I would like to use some of the tools in this package to decode some mime e-mail attachments on a CentOS

SCSI drives and Centos 7
Everyone, about 4 years ago, I tried to install CentOS 6 on a Supermicro server with SCSI drives using a LSI raid system. I could never figure out or find a way to make the installation disc of Centos 6 identify the SCSI drives. The installation disc for Centos 5 identified the SCSI drives without a problem. I finally gave up on Centos 6 and installed Centos 5 and the system has worked very

r tidy
Is there an r-tidy program? something that works similar to perl tidy? http://perltidy.sourceforge.net/ which takes program code and reformats white space with standard indentations and spacing? I did find a ruby based rtidy, but that is for html formatting. // George -- George Georgalis, systems architect, administrator <IXOYE><

Centos 7.0 and mismatched swap file
Everyone, I am putting together a new mail server for our firm using a SuperMicro with Centos 7.0. When performed the install of the os, I put 16 gigs of memory in the wrong slots on the mother board which caused the SuperMicro to recognize 8 gigs instead of 16 gigs. When I installed Centos 7.0, this error made the swap file 8070 megs instead of what I would have expected to be a over 16000

Package for Tidying-up R-code
Dear all, Is there any such package? I am thinking of something equivalent to Perl::Tidy. For example with VI editor one can visual highlight a portion of Perlcode and then issue the command: !perltidy then the code will be automatically arranged. - Gundala Viswanath Jakarta - Indonesia

httpd failed with a new install of 5.0
Everyone, I have been working on a new installation of CentOS 5.0 on a x86_64 machine. The installation has gone well except for httpd. When I start httpd with LogLevel turned to debug all I get is an immediate failure with the following errors the logs: /var/log/httpd/error_log: [Sun Jul 22 13:00:31 2007] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/suexec) /var/log/ssl_error.log:

Booting without a keyboard
Everyone, Is there a way to have Centos boot when no keyboard is present. I have a firewall and another mail server that would fit into a closet a little better without a keyboard. I tried to remove the keyboard but the system hangs giving me notice that a keyboard was not found. Greg Ennis

CentOS 5.4 .x86_64 and perl.i386
To All, Thanks to the CentOS guys for 5.4; sure appreciate your work. I have one question. I had to remove perl-5.8.8-18.el5_3.1.i386 on two x86_64 machines in order to get perl.x86_64 4:5.8.8-27.el5 to update. Does this represent a change from 5.3 to 5.4 and should I be concerned about the loss of perl-5.8.8-18.el5_3.1.i386. So far I have not found anything broken. Greg Ennis

fstab problem after a failed drive
Everyone, I installed a sata drive on a SuperMicro with SCSI drives. No problem with the installation. Everything went as expected as the os recognized the drive and assigned /dev/sdc to the new 300 gig Seagate drive. I had planned to use this drive for backup tarballs. The drive had been functional for about a week with no problems. Apparently it went out today when I tried to reboot the
