Qxl problem with xen domU, is xen spice and/or qemu bugs?
I''ve been trying to have all spice features working on xen domUs since
the end of 2011.
Basic functions were already working. Adding qemu parameters manually
for vdagent and usbredirection was and is also working (I made the
patches to support them directly on xl).
Qxl was never working: one bug on xen and one on qemu about qxl are
fixed, the other xen bug found months ago on the

[PATCH] Properly control platform device creation in upstream QEMU
The xen_platform_pci xl configuration parameter currently has no effect on
upstream QEMU; creation of the platform device is hardcoded.
I have created a patch to QEMU to remove this hardcoded creation. This patch
specifies the appropriate -device argument on the QEMU command line (and
hence creates the device) only when xen_platform_pci is true.

[PATCH v2] Handle xen_platform_pci=0 case
Hi,
Here is a little patch that attempt to fix the issue regarding
xen_platform_pci=0 not been handled.
There is one patch left from the previous version. The patch that was adding
qemu_machine_override have been removed as it is unnecessary. If someone wants
to change the -machine, it can always add it to device_model_args_hvm, as QEMU
appear to use the last one.

xen and spice problem
Hi
it is possible to use xen and spice already? If yes is there any howto
or doc how?
If I turn on spice in cfg of a hvm domU, I get this error:
