Problem with xtable- rescaling a table
Dear R users,
I am new to Latex and I am using the R package xtable to generate tables.
I want to produce a table that is very long. in the landscape format, but
I would need to rescale the table so that it fits in the page. xtable
enables me to have the landscape format, but I cannot rescale it, and there
seems to be a problem, if I use scalebox in Latex on my output produced
with stable and the

VGA Passthrough of AMD FirePro W7000 to Windows 8: Not enough resources
I''m using Xen 4.3, installed from source on Ubuntu 13.04. I''ve
successfully installed a Windows 8 guest, and had Xen pass it an AMD
FirePro W7000 GPU (technically 2 PCI devices - the second is for the
sound), as well as the virtualised graphics adapter. Windows finds the
card fine, and I''ve installed AMD''s drivers. Device Manager says that
the card cannot

[PATCH V4 0/2] xenbus: Fix S3 frontend resume when xenstored is not running
Hi,
This patch series fixes the S3 resume of a domain running xenstored and a
frontend over xenbus (xen-netfront in my use case).
As device resume is happening before process resume, the xenbus frontend
resume is hanging if xenstored is not running, thus causing a deadlock.
This patch series is fixing that issue by deferring the xenbus frontend
resume when we are running xenstored in that same

Centos 7, ATI card, 30" monitor
Well, I got my user back to being able to use his system, but I've still
got one issue: it's running on the VESA driver - there is *no* Catalyst
build for this monitor, for CentOS 7. From a lot of googling, nothing's
been done since the summer of '14 (lspci reports it as a FirePro V3900).
Any thoughts, or pointers, as to if/how I can get X - he's running KDE -

4 monitors with one graphics card and standard driver
I've just test an ATI FirePro 2460 graphics card on CentOS 6.4. It
connects 4 monitors.
It worked with the standard radeon driver. I was able to arrange the
monitors into my
preferred configuration (as a square array, 1 upper left, 2 lower left, 3
lower right, 4
upper right) simply by clicking System -> Preferences -> Display, and then
moving the
four monitor images. This creates the

Test version of the glibc with xen flavour
Hi all,
I have built a test version of the glibc with a xen flavour. It is
available on http://people.debian.org/~aurel32/xen/ . The only
difference with the version currently in sid is the presence of the
libc6-xen package.
If you are using xen, please test it and tell me if it fixes speed
problems. If everything is ok, I will commit it into our SVN.
Bye,
Aurelien

Meaning of LND/neterrors ?
Hello
I''ve noticed that Lustre network error, especially LND errors, are considered as maskable errors.
That means that on a production node, where debug mask is 0, those specific errors won''t be displayed if they happened.
Does that mean that they are harmless?
Do upper-layers resend their RPC/packet if LNDs report an error?
When, in my case, o2iblnd says something like

Slow graphics with ATI FirePro 2260
Hello-
I installed CentOS 5.5 on a DELL Machine with ATI Firepro 2260 graphics
card. I'm using GNOME for the graphical environment but the display is
refreshing very slowly, e.g. scrolling a webpage or moving a window around.
Any idea how to solve this issue.

Last push to Mapstraction v2
Hey everyone - how are things going?
I wanted to see what the consensus was on last steps to push out the
RC for the new Mapstraction architecture?
Timing-wise, I''m speaking at JSConf in 2 weeks and would like to be
able to mention the new arch (currently talking about using JavaScript
to control immersive virtual worlds, but may try to switch to talk
about JS Mapping) - regardless

How vital is having "FLReset+" for VGA Passthru in DomU?
I was reading the Wiki page here: http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/VTd_HowTo
don''t know how updated it is, BUT at the top it said:

-------------------- -------------------- --------------------
_Xen 4.1 xl tools notes _
* Only devices with FLR capabilities are supported.
* Passing through a PCI card without FLR capability

Group several variables and apply a function to the group
Dear R-experts,
I am struggling with the following problem, and I am looking for advice
from more experienced R-users: I have a data frame with 2 identifying
variables (comn and mi), and an output variable (x). comn is a variable for
a company and mi is a variable for a month.
comn<-c("abc", "abc", "abc", "abc", "abc", "abc",

[RFC][QEMU] ATI graphics VBIOS passthru support
Hi Ian,
There have been a lot of interest on gfx passthru recently. This patch enables ATI VBIOS in passthru mode. The guest VM system BIOS (including Windows boot logo) can now show in passthru screen. We have tested with various Windows and Linux guest VMs. Please help review it. We are also looking forward to comments and suggestions from Xen community users.

VGA Passthrough of Radeon 6990? Crossfire in general?
Hello List,
Has anyone performed VGA Passthrough with a Radeon 6990 card?
Secondary to that, has anyone done a crossfire setup on an HVM DomU?
I''d like to run Xen on top of my desktop and put Windows into a VM,
shuffling my setup around a little bit, but I''d really like to get the
full VGA BIOS support that passthrough offers.
Thanks,
Andrew Bobulsky

Problem subsetting: undefined columns
Dear R-users,
-I am new to R, and I am struggling with the following problem.
-I am repeating the following operations hundreds of times, within a loop:
I want to subset a data frame by columns. I am interested in the columns
names that are given by the rows of another data frame that was built in
parallel. The solution I have so far works well as long as the elements of
the second data frame

ATI/AMDs atikmpag.sys BSOD while vga passthrough
Hi everyone
since I''m currently migrating from xm to xl and now are also a victim
of the said error, I started researching on it and found that many
people had the issue but not many found solution and behind this BSOD
(=Bluescreen of Death), there are actually multiple errors in hiding.
What I would like to do is gather as much info as possible in this
thread to form a kind of

Kernel panic, CentOS 7.1503 fully updated, with executing gkrellm.
Just a heads up, since I know gkrellm is in EPEL and not in the main
CentOS repos. However, something fairly fundamental has changed, as
prior to updating, gkrellm worked fine, but now every time I execute
gkrellm the kernel panics.
I'm going to triage on a different machine, as the panic corrupted at
least one system library used by nautilus, but rpm -Va is your friend in
these
