Package Distribution Server?
Dear List, I'm trying to set up a lab with multiple workstations running CentOS 5. Does anybody knows how to keep the packages in sync among workstations? Ideally I want any change made on any machine be able to applied to all other machines. Alternatively, to "push" the changes (add and/or remove packages) from one central server to all other machine is also fine. Thanks

How to test my patch before I post it to public?
Hi , All I 'm a green hand and interested in open source development. I have a general question “How to test my patch before I post it to public?” Hope you guys give me some suggestions. : ) Firstly, I can re-compile the code, to assure no syntax error. However,I don't know how to test my patch's function is right or not. Some software requires unit test for each function. Is there

How to merge the Xen kernel with modules into one single file ?
Hi all, To boot a Xen from grub, we normally use a Xen kernel and a domain0 kernel & initrd.img as its modules. Now, I want to merge these three files into one single kernel file, then I can boot it without modules. I am doing this because a simulator environment only has one file entry for the kernel. Do you guys have some hints on how to do that? BTW, I can merge the domain0 kernel &

fatal error if Flex and Bison is not configured
Hi all, I try to build xen 4.2( revision number: 25161) on Ubuntu 11.10_amd64, Mac pro. After running ./configure and make. I got the following fatal error: *libxlu_cfg_y.y:22:26: fatal error: libxlu_cfg_l.h: No such file or directory compilation terminated.* So the original libxlu_cfg_l.h is deleted when making, and should be regenerated but it is not. I find the path of flex and bison is not

FreeBSD 9.1-BETA1 amd64 fails to mount ZFS rootfs with error 2 when system has more than 3584MB of RAM
Dear Everyone, I am running FreeBSD 9.1-BETA1 amd64 on ZFS in KVM on Gentoo Linux on ZFS. The root pool uses ashift=13 and is on a single disk. The kernel fails to mount the root filesystem if the system has more than 3584MB of RAM. I did a manual binary search to try to find the exact upper limit, but stopped when I tried 3648MB. FreeBSD 9.0-RELEASE works perfectly. Yours truly, Richard Yao

I'm afraid I don't know what may or may not have happened to your installation, just that this fake-start-stop-daemon thing is very likely interfering with the operation of Xen by not actually starting daemons. I suggest you try asking somewhere like the debian-users list to see if anyone there knows what this thing is or what to do about it. Ian. On Tue, 2015-06-02 at 15:22 +0200,

backing up xen virtual domains
Hi all, I have got my virtual machines running on top of LVM volumes. Whats the best way for backing up domUs that are setup in this way? In case the dom0 machine fails... Anybody has got any cool nifty ideas to share? -Zhihao _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users

[PATCH] libxl/build: print a pretty message if flex/bison are needed but not found
This patchs adds better support for both Flex and Bison, which might be needed to compile libxl. Now configure script sets BISON and FLEX Makefile vars if bison and flex are found, but doesn''t complain if they are not found. Also, added some Makefile soccery to print a nice error message if Bison or Flex are needed but not found. Please run autogen after applying this patch.

How to revert a change properly
The "Revert [tag] message" is the default message generated by the 'git revert' command. Of course you would have to be using a git clone of LLVM instead of an SVN checkout in order to run 'git revert'. This command is the equivalent of 'svn merge –r' run from the top-level directory. I believe svn commands will operate only on the directories below the current

Hi, Thanks for your answer. During the Debian jessie installation, I had a problem at grub step. The os-prober part was stuck : grub was at 66 % (os-prober tried to browse all the VM on LVM partitions) After more than 15 minutes, os-prober seems to be stuck, so I rebooted the server. I had to boot in rescue mode, then, reinstalled grub and modified it to add

Sendmail with TLS, permission problem
Hello, list, I have a problem with Sendmail configuration. I'm building (on CentOS 5) a "dual-MTA" setup with amavisd-new (as specified in amavisd-new documentation, file README.sendmail-dual). So far so good. But when I tried to add server SMTP-AUTH and TLS, I get a strange, permission-related error, and STARTTLS will not start. In my .mc conf, the Sendmail user is now the usual

Hi: I hope to cut all backedges of MachineFunction CFG, then topological sort MachineBasicBlocks. 1. MachineDominatorTree *domintree = new MachineDominatorTree(); domintree->runOnMachineFunction(mf); 2. Then travel mf one by one. When domintree->dominates(next,current) is true, there is a backedge from current node to next node. move this backedge form CFG. But I find A LOOP in
