[PATCH] x86/vtsc: update vcpu_time after hvm_set_guest_time
When using a vtsc, hvm_set_guest_time changes hvm_vcpu.stime_offset,
which is used in the vcpu time structure to calculate the
tsc_timestamp, so after updating stime_offset we need to propagate the
change to vcpu_time in order for the guest to get the right time if
using the PV clock.
This was not done correctly, since in context_switch
update_vcpu_system_time was called before vmx_do_resume,

[PATCH] x86/hvm: fix corrupt ACPI PM-Timer during live migration
The value of ACPI PM-Timer may be broken on save unless the timer mode
is delay_for_missed_ticks.
With other timer modes, vcpu->arch.hvm_vcpu.guest_time is always zero
and the adjustment from its value is wrong.
This patch fixes the saved value of ACPI PM-Timer:
- don''t adjust the PM-Timer if vcpu->arch.hvm_vcpu.guest_time is zero.
- consolidate calculations of PM-Timer to one

IA32_TSC_ADJUST MSR is maintained separately for each logical processor.
A logical processor maintains and uses the IA32_TSC_ADJUST MSR as follows:
1). On RESET, the value of the IA32_TSC_ADJUST MSR is 0;
2). If an execution of WRMSR to the IA32_TIME_STAMP_COUNTER MSR adds (or subtracts)

Guest time and TSCs since changeset 17716
Changeset 17716 provides monotonically increasing guest time for HVM
domains, by using the per-domain pl_time structure. hvm_get_guest_time
and hvm_set_guest_time were changed to use this. Previously, the guest
time was stored directly in the TSC offset fields of the vmx/smv control
structures.
Since pt_freeze_time and pt_thaw_time use hvm_get/set_guest_time, they
now no longer freeze TSC

or

Crash with Samba 2.0.6
Hi!
Short time ago our Samba-Server crashed during normal use with low load.
(Ping was working, but no login was possible (didn't ask for password on
the terminal)).
Perhaps it is a bug, or perhaps it is a problem with my machine and you

[PATCH] hvm: reset TSC to 0 after domain resume from S3
Host S3 implicitly resets the host TSC to 0, but the tsc offset for hvm domains is not recalculated
when they resume, causing it to go into negative values. In Linux guest using tsc clocksource, this
results in a hang after wrap back to positive values since the tsc clocksource implementation
expects it reset.

[PATCH 2/4] time: add a notifier chain for when the system time is stepped

The high resolution timer code gets notified of step changes to the
system time with clock_was_set() or clock_was_set_delayed() calls. If
other parts of the kernel require similar notification there is no
clear place to hook into.
Add a clock_was_set atomic notifier chain
(clock_was_set_notifier_list) and call this in place of
clock_was_set().

I have 5 CentOS 7 virtual guests installed (all fully patched to latest release) and i have the following error in all of them:
systemd-journald[7779]: File /run/log/journal/b4a41f4214ca44f898638301891a6f2e/system.journal corrupted or uncleanly shut down, renaming and replacing.
?? .. And I don't understand why. I have configured "Storage=volatile" in journald.conf ...
