[patch] Activate Qemu options
Hi,
This patch makes it possible for Qemu to use the SDL library, to
conveniently replace VNC, which has horrible mouse support.
It also adds a IOEMU_CONFIGURE_OPTIONS option in tools/Makefile, so that
later on, we can call:
$(MAKE_CLEAN) -C $(DIR)/tools $(CONFIG)
IOEMU_CONFIGURE_OPTIONS="--audio-drv-list=\"pa oss alsa sdl esd\"
--audio-card-list=\"ac97 es1370 sb16 cs4231a

Compilation error in make tools - undefined reference to `x86_cpu_list''
Hi,
Has anyone come across this problem please? Couldn''t see it in the list archives:
This is the error message generated by make tools (run twice, so the successful object creation has been removed.)
Thanks

[PATCH 00/14] Remove old_portio users for memory region PIO mapping
When running on PowerPC, we don''t have native PIO support. There are a few hacks
around to enable PIO access on PowerPC nevertheless.
The most typical one is the isa-mmio device. It takes MMIO requests and converts
them to PIO requests on the (QEMU internal) PIO bus.
This however is not how real hardware works and it limits us in the ability to
spawn eventfd''s on PIO ports

symbolic linking to library files
I handle SysAdmin for a multi-user Linux box, with R 2.7.1 compiled and
installed to make usee of ACML (Opteron chips). The library files (packages)
are installed to /usr/local/lib64/R/library
Everything works as it should, except for the following. Say I have a user
(an R developer) who has developed a package called Blaster. We'll call the
user guru. Now, /home/guru/Blaster, contains the

SoundBlaster 16 removal impending
(Reply directly, as I''m not subscribed here.)
As you may have seen, ARC recently approved my case to remove the
ancient sbpro driver Solaris.
I''m intent on doing that, because it really helps with our OSS
integration effort, which I''m now leading.
The problem is, will this impact qemu? I''m not sure of the answer. I

[PATCH] v2v: rework handling of CPU topology
Instead of storing the number of sockets, cores, and threads separately
with the possibility to have each of them optional, store them together,
so either we have a CPU topology or none. This slightly simplifies the
handling of CPU topology.
Most of the output modes/producers already considered a missing
information of a topology as "1" when any of the other was specified, so

Microphone problems with Skype
Hi,
I have CentOS4 and this soundcard:
00:11.5 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc.
VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 60)
I installed the Skype rpm for Fedora3 and it works but the quality of
my voice is very poor: volume is low and the voice sound doesn't have
the high frequencies.
Did any of you made Skype work perfectly under CentOS4? How?
Thanks,
Adrian

I'm looking at getting the Dev light applications from digium

quicknet card for it. Can I make calls using asterisk and the digium cards to the Voip blaster.

Mounting problem
Hi folks,
For unknown cause I encounter following mounting problem;
# /mnt/hda8
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/hda8,
missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
dmesg | tail or so

Thank you wine developers!
Just wanted to drop a note and say thank you to all the wine
developers. Your hard work is really starting to pay off. I've just
finished playing half-life, both counterstrike and original for the
past few hours with nearly no glitches at all. Single player,
multi-player internet hosting as well. The only problem I've run into
is using the Kernel based sound modules vs. Alsa. That's

liveice Question
Works just fine - though it might not be documented (seems like this info
was dropped from the sample liveice.cfg file in the later distributions).
Basically, at the end of liveice.cfg add the line:
ENCODER_STREAM_SET 1
then define the values that would be different on the 2nd stream, ie:
NAME Scott's 24kb/s stream
SERVER xxxx.yyy.com
PORT 80xx
PASSWORD (if different than 128k)
BITRATE
