[PATCH][RESEND] qemu-xen: Intel GPU passthrough, fix OpRegion mapping (v3)
The OpRegion shouldn''t be mapped 1:1 because the address in the host
can''t be used in the guest directly.
This patch traps read and write access to the opregion of the Intel
GPU config space (offset 0xfc).
To work correctly this patch needs a change in hvmloader.
HVMloader will allocate 2 pages for the OpRegion and write this address
on the config space of the Intel GPU. Qemu

pci pass-through, NIC card
Hi,
I am trying to make the vt-d and pci pass-through work and I have some
problems. I just try to give a NIC to an HVM guest.
When I create the vm the hypervisor goes to an infinite loop,
it displays in loop the message enclosed (console_on_xm_create).
I use xen x86_64, debian etch dom0 with linux-2.6.18.8-xen 32.
The hvm guest is a debian etch 64.
Cheers,

[PATCH 2/3] V5 qemu-xen-trad: Correctly expose PCH ISA bridge for IGD passthrough
The i915 driver probes chip version through PCH ISA bridge device / vendor ID.
Previously, the PCH ISA bridge is exposed as PCI-PCI bridge in qemu-xen-trad,
which breaks the assumption of the driver. This change fixes the issue by
correctly exposing the ISA bridge to domU.

good progress on pci vga passthrough in xen-3.4-rc1
Platform : Nehalem, official Intel x58 with Core i7 920 (dx58so)
Main (Console): Nvidia 9500 GT PCI Express
Secondary: Nvidia 8800 GTS PCI Express
Yes, I binned the ASUS P6T due to bad VT-d support in the BIOS.
With the latest BIOS from Intel, the dx58so has enable/disable for VT-d, ICH FLR and Interrupt Mapping! Helped a lot with getting this working ...

[RFC][QEMU] ATI graphics VBIOS passthru support
Hi Ian,
There have been a lot of interest on gfx passthru recently. This patch enables ATI VBIOS in passthru mode. The guest VM system BIOS (including Windows boot logo) can now show in passthru screen. We have tested with various Windows and Linux guest VMs. Please help review it. We are also looking forward to comments and suggestions from Xen community users.

Problem: Pattern with vertical colored lines on the dom0 screen
Hi list,
I have a problem with a new laptop (reproducable on other machines too) and the
xen hypervisor.
When the hypervisor gets booted with VESA mode 800x600 I see some messages and
then the screen contents is switched into a pattern of vertical colored lines
and never comes back.
In text mode all works well, but later the pattern appears when the X servers
starts.
I disabled VTd in the bios

[PATCH 0/2] Fix SMBios table regressions in HVM guests
The series "HVM firmware passthrough" series in Jan 2013 from Ross Philipson
cause two regressions for HVM guests which sadly found their way into the Xen
4.3 release.
The first regression causes an incorrect count of tables to be placed in the
main header, and can be seen by running dmidecode in any applicable HVM domain.
The second regression found its way into the public ABI, making

Critical bug: VT-d fault causes disk corruption or Dom0 kernel panic.
All,
We met several system failures on different hardware platforms, which are all caused by VT-d fault.
err 1: disk is corrupted by VT-d fault on SATA.
err 2: Dom0 kernel panics at booting, which is caused VT-d fault on UHCI.
err 3, Dom0 complains disk errors while creating HVM guests.
The culprit would be changeset 19054 "x86_64: Remove statically-partitioned Xen heap.".
