Xen VGA Passthrough - GTX 680 successfully hard-moded to GRID K2
Hi Gordan, I wanted to let you know that today I decided to have a try for my GTX 680. Gigabite GTX 680 2048 MB GDDR5. I know that this particular card could be hard-moded to GRID K2 so VGA passthrough could work. Following instructions found on http://www.eevblog.com/forum/chat/hacking-nvidia-cards-into-their-professional-counterparts/420/ I just removed two resistors. Here is a screenshot

A problem about xen no-iommu graphics card passthough
Hi! I want to make windows work with native graphics card on xen with no iommu (no vt-d) support. With many googling, I find that xen with Neocleuse 1:1 No-IOMMU passthough patches maybe can meet my requestment. I download and compile a copy of direct-io.hg source, and pass my graphics card to hvm

GTX 670 Tips?
Gordan & David, Read about your latest work, and was thrilled to learn that both soft and hard mods are working. I bought the GTX 670 model in David''s article, I will be giving this a shot in a week. I was hoping to ask a few questions. 1. Is there a specific qemu version required (traditional or the new default)? 2. What (if anything) should be done after removing the resistors

High Performance graphics virtual environment: VGA Passthough or a VDI solution
Hello Early this summer I made the decision to eliminate my Windows dual boot, I rarely used windows. I have started a new job which will require using a 3d CAD Inventor/Solidworks (Windows software). Inventor starts in vmware workstation. I also switched from OpenSuSE to CentOS after evaluating Ubuntu, RHEL, SLED, and Centos, I wanted a more proven platform, less experimental stuff. For the

Dear Michael, One key is adjustment of nls optimizer tolerance. I notice it has to be higher than usual, but, I recovered your noisy "known" parameter values with an error of K1 (-7%) and k1 (-6%): #### Miller problem with Dalgaard modifications ## Linares 1/22/2004 ## Solution 1 nls(noisy ~ lsoda(xstart, time, one.compartment.model, c(K1=K1, k2=k2))[,2], data=C1.lsoda,

Hi, I have a density that I need to get MLEs from, which includes definite integrals both in the denominator and in the numerator of the density function. It looks like the outcome depends on the initial values given. My program is shown below: library(circular) ######################################## 4 parameters ######################################## z<-rvonmises(100,0,1)

file name starting with [0-9]* not synchronized (!?)
Hi, I'm trying to backup a remote directory. Although the remote directory hasn't been changed after rsync's run, I realize that the supposed synchronization missed some files. Does it have to do with rsync or I miss something ? Thanks very much, Mihai. ______________________________ quad ...lu2/BACKUP/k2/mnt/i1/vbs# rsync -av --stats rsync://mlozo@k2/vobuser/user

Another loop avoidance question.
Hi I want to sum over one of the dimensions of a n x k1 x k2 array in which each column is the product of the corresponding columns from two matrices with dimensions n x k1 and n x k2. I can see two approaches: a loop on k1 and a loop on k2. But I cannot figure a solution that avoids the loop? Is it possible? (I don't refer to apply or lapply etc either as they are just hidden loops so,

fixed trimmed mean for j-group
Hello...i want to find the empirical rate for type 1 error using fixed trimmed mean. To make it easy, i'm referring to journal given by this website http://www.academicjournals.org/ajmcsr/PDF/pdf2011/Yusof%20et%20al.pdf. I already run the programme and there is no error in it but i got zero for the empirical rate of type 1 error. The empirical rate for the type 1 error given in the journal
