[PATCH] Simple emulation of host keyboard and mouse for gfx_passthru.
Hi, to use the host keyboard and touchpad of my laptop while running a HVM guest with passthroughed primary gfx-card I wrote a simple emulation. To activate it change gfx_passthru=1 -> gfx_passthru=1001 in the domU config file. This was done this way to have a small footprint. Also the embedding in helper2.c is a little bit awkward. Another problem using this way is that the VT in dom0 is not

[PATCH][VTD][GFX] pass gfx_passthru parameter to QEMU
Pass gfx_passthru parameter to QEMU. Keep it boolean for now as QEMU does not expect any other integer value. Signed-off-by: Allen Kay <allen.m.kay@intel.com> _______________________________________________ Xen-devel mailing list Xen-devel@lists.xensource.com http://lists.xensource.com/xen-devel

qemu-system-i386: -gfx_passthru: invalid option
Hi, How come gfx_passthru is now an invalid option? Does it mean Xen-unstable 4.4 changeset 27214 no longer supports vga passthrough? -- Yours sincerely, Singapore Citizen Mr. Teo En Ming (Zhang Enming)

[LLVMdev] [Oink-devel] Status of Elsa->LLVM

The problem with names like "ellsif" is that it sounds like "else if". I like the

Wine installed... but not?
Hey, I've got a Ubuntu 11.10 system I use as my home server. I installed wine on it a little while ago and everything was working great, I was using it to run Air Video Server. At some point when I was installing new display drivers to enable GPU acceleration in XBMC Air Video Server stopped loading on boot. When I tried to fix it, I found that the system was acting like wine was not

need API doc to develop a radio client
Hi, Can you please share a sample code which fetches the station list from the > Icecast server and can play a station. > I am attaching a very basic, bare-bone example in Python which: - fetches the XML file - converts it into a DOM object - loops over it, extracting for each station it's server name, URL, bitrate and genre. To play a URL, just feed it to the underlying player.

bad mmio size, MMIO emulation failed, and other issues
I''ve been trying to pass through a GPU to a domU, so far with a lot of trouble but finally a success. PCI passthrough works, I''ve had the usb hubs work successfully. Today I tried to pass through my ATI card to an ubuntu hvm domU with no gfx_passthru and got this: [...] (XEN) memory_map:add: dom14 gfn=f3040 mfn=f7c40 nr=4 (XEN) memory_map:remove: dom14 gfn=f3040 mfn=f7c40 nr=4

xen EFI boot and vga-passthrough
Hi all I can''t seem to find any information on vga-passthrough when booting through xen.efi, so I assume it should work. But I encounter a problem on a windows 7 HVM that boots fine when dom0 is booted through MBR but fails when dom0 is booted through UEFI. My system is: DQ77KB motherboard with bios version 44 Core i7-3779T with VT-d Intel HD graphics 4000 In the qemu log it

Broken UTF-8 in yp.xml?
Hi all, I apologize if this subject has been discussed before. I recently wrote a small add-on for XBMC Media Centre (www.xbmc.org) which allows the users to listen to Icecast radio stations. My primary source of information is the yp.xml file. While the yp.xml file is UTF-8 there seem to be some entries with broken UTF-8 (which most often looks like multiple-encoded UTF-8, but with one

libvirt bridge configuration
Hi Every one, I'm hoping some one can point me in the right direction. We are piloting KVM + Libvirt for migrating off Xen and I'm stuck with the network bridge configuration via libvirt. What we have currently with xen is: 1 server with Wan/lan interfaces and a pool of public ip addresses. Using xen bridge scripts I'd start a xenbr0 and attach eth0 (wan) and go ahead and assign

VGA passthrough to HVM Linux domU
I am having problems getting my 64-bit Debian Squeeze (Xen version 4.0, Linux Kernel 2.6.32) dom0 to pass a Gigabyte HD 5450 graphics card to an HVM 64-bit Arch Linux domU. I have two Gigabyte HD 5450 graphics cards connected to my Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 motherboard. I can pass the secondary card (the one the bios doesn’t show up on) to an HVM 32-bit Windows XP domU (I thought that would be the hard
