Intel VGA-passthrough to Ubuntu12.04 64bit Dom-U doesn't work
Hi,
When Ubuntu12.04 64bit domU boot up, Intel VGA-passthrough doesn''t work.
I used the command "xm create" to boot up Dom-U.
Windows7-64bit-SP1 works quite well with same configuration.
Boot log is as follows.
Dom-U dmesg:
[ 1.421858] initcall rfcomm_init+0x0/0xf1 [rfcomm] returned 0 after

mem-set, mem-max, increasing memory for a dom.
I assume this is an FAQ, but i couldn''t find hardly any explainations,
can someone point me at the right documentation or provide an answer
please.
How do xm mem-set and xm mem-max work?
How are they related to the memory used in the conf file for xm create.
[ ie is that mem-max. ]
Can you increase a domU''s memory?
I have an 8G machine, and I wanted to increase one domU

Loop Mounted Device Issue?
Hi. We are running xen-3.0-testing. We use loop back mounted file
systems. The server we are running restarts itself/crashes. This seems
to happen around setting up loop back devices. (>63 loop back devices
seems to trigger a crash, but we have seen then with fewer devices
mounted as well).
We have swapped all hardware (bar the disks) to a new server. Same
issue. I see no disk

domU lifecycles, xenstore, and UUIDs [not necessarily 128-bit ones]
At least from the ''xm'' commands'' interface, it looks like domU''s just
disappear after an ''xm destroy'', which I''ve been using to cut turn off
the virtual power switches of domU''s. Is this by design?
I''m trying to think of a good way to identify a domU throughout its
lifecycle, which for me goes all the way from

use case for exposing xenstore attributes via sysfs [long]
I''ve seen some people asking why exposing xenstore attributes via sysfs
could be useful. Here''s why I would really like to see such a patch
make it into Xen:
I''ve been working on getting domU''s to know enough about themselves to
be manageable. I require a 128-bit UUID for each domU, and I require
that each domU be able to determine its own UUID in userspace.

installing a pseudo driver in a Solaris DOM U and DOM U reboot
Hello,
on a v20z, we have as DOM 0 a Solaris XEN on snv44 64bits
and we have as DOM U a Solaris XEN on snv44 64 bits.
We then install a pseudo driver in the Solaris DOM 1 XEN snv44:
installation is ok and driver works as expected.
But on reboot of DOM 1, the driver is no more
there (in modinfo, driver not found).
Is there something special to do after a pseudo driver installation in
a Solaris

problem about changing state to XenbusStateClosed resulting in vbd entry removed from xenstore
Hi,
I encountered a problem while porting Solaris as a guest OS on Xen.
The problem I found is that when frontend vbd driver get unloaded, it
will close the vbd interface by changing the state to XenbusStateClosed.
This appears to cause the dom0 hotplug scripts to remove the vbd entry
from xenstore for the domU guest, preventing the vbd from being re-attached.
So, my questions are:

Can''t get NAT access to internet from Dom U in my small network
I have followed the nat advice from this guide:
http://wiki.kartbuilding.net/index.php/Xen_Networking#Routed_Networking_with_NAT_2
I have googled internet for weeks and read almost every thread in this forum
without getting a working NAT on my system.
My main question is how exactly will the iptable rules with MASQUERADE or
POSTROUTING look like if you want access to the internet from Dom U ,

How do I resize a Physical Partition in a Dom U that''s "on" a Logical Volume in the Dom 0?
Hey all,
I''m trying to figure out how to re-size physical partitions in the Dom U.
I''ve read up what I can find on line and finally decided to have
Logical Volumes in the Dom 0 and pass them as physical volumes for use
in the Dom U.
Here''s an example of what I''m doing.
To start in the Dom 0 I created the LV''s with
lvcreate -n guest_boot -L 100M
