Hi, I cannot get mongrel working on i686 debian sarge, whereas it works quite well on another ppc box under debian unstable. Instead I can use scgi_rails or webbrick without any problem. Here is the error: # mongrel_rails start /usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/mongrel-0.3.12.4/lib/mongrel/rails.rb:28: uninitialized constant Mongrel::HttpHandler (NameError) from

But libaugeas-ruby1.8 is not installed in the client machine. So when the catalog is run, I get the following error: Could not find a default provider for augeas. So I built another module that will install the

Puppet playing badly with Debian etch rubygems
To install the ruby-augeas gem, I installed rubygems on Debian etch, which lead to: Setting up libgems-ruby1.8 (0.9.0-5) ... Setting up ruby1.8-dev (1.8.5-4etch4) ... Setting up rubygems (0.9.0-5) ... Before this (I mean *immediately* before this) puppet worked fine exceept for not being able to find a provider for Augeas. magical disappearing background processes!
Hi all, I''ve been having trouble for a long time with backgroundrb processes that suddenly vanish without a trace. What happens is that at some point I discover that all the backgroundrb processes are suddenly gone. Nothing special is seen in any of the log files. This has happened intermittently for a long time, and I was hoping that upgrading to 1.0.4 would somehow help me out, but

Is anyone having problems with running Puppet 0.22.1 on Edgy? I installed the puppet and facter packages from Fiesty and I get core dumps when I try to run puppetd on the machine. Prior to that I was using 0.20.1 packages from Debian testing and all seemed well. I posted about the core dump yesterday. Luke recommended upgrading Ruby so I grabbed ruby-1.8.5-p12 source and installed. The prior
