Some thoughts on win32-changenotify
Hi all, As things stand now, you can do something like this with win32-changenotify: require "win32/changenotify" include Win32 filter = ChangeNotify::FILE_NAME | ChangeNotify::DIR_NAME | ChangeNotify::LAST_WRITE cn = ChangeNotify.new("c:\\",false,filter){ puts "Something changed" } cn.wait You can pass a block that''s executed when a change occurs, but

[mh@designassembly.de: [Vtun] Windows port]
Just spotted this on the VTun mailing list. Might be interesting, if there were a TUN/TAP driver for windows it would be a lot easier to make a M$ port of tinc. Not that I feel much motivation to do so... ----- Forwarded message from Michael Heyse <mh@designassembly.de> ----- From: "Michael Heyse" <mh@designassembly.de> To: "VTun mailing list"

Best zwave controller for MH
I (canadian) store has a deal on for the vera lite controller: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/searchtools/item-Details.asp?EdpNo=8930107&sku=VEP-STARTER1 but this looks different than the vera lite green & white: http://www.amazon.com/Mi-Casa-Verde-VeraLite-Controller/dp/B007005364/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top? and maybe there are more zwave controllers. new to dovecot, dealing with MH foders
Hello, I'm sorry if this is a repeat, a few choice searches into google didn't help and I found no search for the archives. I can no longer put of moving away from UW-IMAP. Dovecot certainly seems to be the right choice, but I am having problems getting it to do what I need it to for all my mail. The machine is running the dist version, 0.99.12. I have a system mailbox and a large MH

ChangeNotify help wanted
Hi all, I''ve checked in some code to win32-changenotify. Unfortunately, it doesn''t work right. I need some help. I don''t understand what, exactly, I''m supposed to pass to ReadDirectoryChangesW() for the 2nd argument, nor how to read the data back out. There''s also a WCHAR issue that needs to be worked out with regards to the FileName

ICMP
After the recent attacks on the major servers on the web my ISP has decided to stop all ICMP messages from his ISP. I have red the RFCs and it seems that he cant do that... As a result pings and traceroutes will not work. I need a friendly person out there to tell me a way to break the news to him that he has to allow ICMP packets through his network... any suggestions would be helpfull [mod:

Undefined method `register'' for REXML::Encoding:Module
Has anyone seen the below error before? It appears to only occur when Puppet runs automatically (i.e. a "puppetd --test" doesn''t cause it). I have recently installed new Ruby rpms on the server and I''m guessing that I may have left out something when I built the RPMS (based on FC7 SRPM). > -----Original Message----- > From: report@melrhweb1.nmh-au

Supporting ~10K users on ZFS
OK, I know that there''s been some discussion on this before, but I''m not sure that any specific advice came out of it. What would the advice be for supporting a largish number of users (10,000 say) on a system that supports ZFS? We currently use vxfs and assign a user quota, and backups are done via Legato Networker. >From what little I currently understand, the general

Possible to change mouse sensitivity?
Ever since I replaced the mouse that came with one of my computers with a Logitech MX1000, I have noticed that I have difficulty with accurately making small movements with the pointer in X because it moves so fast. I have played around with the mouse preferences, and using 'xset m', but neither one gives me what I want. When I do 'xset m 1/4 1' I get about what I consider to

pigeonhole sieve "standalone"
hi. i've been thinking (but, for years now!) of a replacement for procmail, and pigeonhold sieve seems like a good candidate. but, i run nmh, not dovecot. as i started install it (on arch linux), i started to worry that it may be foolish of me to try to run it outside of a dovecot system. any wisdom about that would be gratefully received. thanks in advance, and thanks for the software.

[PATCH net-next 12/17] ocfs2: Use sendmsg(MSG_SPLICE_PAGES) rather than sendpage()
Fix ocfs2 to use the page fragment allocator rather than kzalloc in order to allocate the buffers for the handshake message and keepalive request and reply messages. Switch from using sendpage() to using sendmsg() + MSG_SPLICE_PAGES so that sendpage can be phased out. One "200Mbps" virtual link between 2 ethernet adaptators of 2 linux boxes.
Hi, ------- ------- | B |eth0---------eth0| C | | |eth1---------eth1| | ------- ------- In an attempt to have the install setup to increase speed and/or reliability of a link between two linux machines (for example in case of a wireless connection), I read that there were more than one solution, for example the old eql driver, bonding
