SSLVerifyClient required with Apache+Mongrel
Hello, In the wiki "Using_Mongrel" http://projects.reductivelabs.com/projects/puppet/wiki/Using_Mongrel it proposes a configuration with the option: SSLVerifyClient require But with this option set I am not able to register new clients. When I run a new puppet client, I get the error: warning: peer certificate won''t be verified in this SSL session err: Could not request

Calling R from R and specifying "wait until script is finished"
Hello, Let's say I have 50 R scripts to run. What would be the most efficient way to run them? I thought I could do multiple Rterms in a DOS batch file: Ex: Rterm <1.R> 1.txt Rterm <2.R> 2.txt ... Rterm <50.R> 50.txt However, I'm afraid they will all open at the same time. I know I could pause the batch file with something like: PING 1.1.1.1 -n 1 -w 60000

So which do I take? ?

Status of OL / OB flapping with no real pattern
Hi, all - I've searched the archives, and although I've come close to finding a few things that describe my problem, I haven't been able to nail it down. Basically I've got 8 TrippLite SU3000RTXR3U's (Couldn't it be a simple model number, like "4UPS"? hah!), and when I tap in to them with nutc, I see that the status flaps back and forth between OL and OB quite

Preforming an action/trigger after a user successfully authenticates
Hi - I have searched the docs for v1.0 RC7, but cannot find what I'm looking for. What I'm ultimately wanting to do is have Dovecot preform some action, or a trigger, when the user is successfully authenticated. Even more specifically, I'd like to run another SQL query to record a date/time for last authenticated login. Short from running a script during logrotate, or constantly

Perl modules not working properly when installed via yum?
Hello, all - I've been dealing with this problem for quite a while, and most of my solutions have just been dirty hacks. I'd like to find an appropriate solution. I've installed perl modules in the past via yum. Sure, they get installed - but none of my perl applications can find them. I know that this is a long outstanding issue, because I have yet to find a real solution. Since

r-project.org SSL certificate issues
I've updated the dashboard (https://rud.is/r-project-cert-status/) script and my notifier script to account for the entire chain in each cert. r-project.org SSL certificate issues
It's the top of chain CA cert, so browsers are being lazy and helpful to humans by (incorrectly, albeit) relying on the existing trust relationship. libcurl (et al) is not nearly as forgiving. err: Could not request certificate: sslv3 alert handshake failure error
Hi, I''ve setup the puppetmaster to start 5 processes each listening on a different port, with an Apache server in front. This works fine for existing clients, however when I try to add a new client (ie. a newly installed machine with no previous puppet configuration) I get this error: err: Could not request certificate: sslv3 alert handshake failure error Any ideas what''s

Apache and SSLv3
Hi list, I'm configuring apache with https and I've a question about sslv3 deactivation. Running "openssl ciphers -v" I get a list of cypher suite of openssl like: ECDH-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256 TLSv1.2 Kx=ECDH/RSA Au=ECDH Enc=AESGCM(128) Mac=AEAD ......... Each lines report relative protocol. Disabling sslv3 with "SSLProtocol all -SSLv3" I can use cypher like:

Debugging Puppetmaster with Apache/Rack/Passenger
Hi, I''m currently trying to debug a performance issue I''m having. Therefore I would need "DEBUG" output. When using one puppetmaster process, this is fairly easy by starting it like this: > puppet master --no-daemonize --debug Now I need to see this debug output when running puppetmaster the way I ususally do - using Apache/Rack/Passenger. After looking

Motherboard recommendations
I have been building my systems with Abit IS-10 motherboards, but NewEgg has stopped carrying them, so I need to switch to something new. Does anyone have any recommendations on a solid motherboard that works well with CentOS? I need a motherboard with built-in video, LAN, and SATA. I don't need RAID or any other fancy features, just something cheap and solid. I've been looking around,

Foreman -- Reporting
Hello All, I don''t seem to be able to get reports to display on the foreman interface. I copied extras/puppet/foreman/files/foreman-report.rb to / usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/puppet/reportsforeman.rb, instead of /usr/ lib/ruby/1.8/puppet/reports/foreman.rb. Config: Centos5.4, Apache/ Passenger, Puppet 0.25.4. The reports are coming from the clients, because I can see them in
