exact insecurity of --bypass-security ?
Hello! First, nice peace of work, thx ;->> After some production server crashes with a far too early version of FreeSWAN (abaout 3 years ago) and the unwillingness to get an OpenSSL expert just to build a VPN, I was happy to read about the rather simple configuration of tinc ("Linux Magazin", a monthly Linux paper published in Germany, gave an overview of free VPN solutions in

Family Lawyer 2001
Hello, I am able to install Family Lawyer 2001 using wine, but when I run the application, all I can see is the logo in the top-lefthand corner of the window. Has anyone had any luck with this software? I really don't want to have to install windows. Even vmware is a pain for me. Any suggestions will be appreciated Thanks -- Justin Hickman

Change atrributes of file on windows side (or DOS)
To whomever may help: I am trying to change the attributes for a file on the linux system, but trying to do it on the windows side or dos prompt. The dos attrib command will not do this, and while researching I found a setmode command, but this gives me an "invalid command" message. Can someone tell me how to modify a file's attributes on a linux system from the windows end

Random Cluster Generation Question
Hello, I am fairly new to R, but I am not new to programming at all. I want to generate random clusters in a 1,000x1,000 box such that I end up with a total of about 2,000 points. Once done, I need to export the X,Y coordinates of the points. I have looked around, and it seems that the spatstat package has what I need. The rMatClust() function can generate random clusters, but I have run into

uniform and clumped point plots
I am trying to generate two dimensional random coordinates. For randomly distributed data I have simply used >xy<-cbind(runif(100),runif(100)) However I also want to generate coordinates that are more uniformly distributed, and coordinates that are more contagiously distributed than the above. Can anyone make any suggestions Thanks. Dr Terry Beutel Rangeland Scientist Animal

attractive spatial point process?
Hi all, before I roll my own, naive implementation of a particular spatial point process, I thought I'd ask whether this has already been done. Specifically, I am looking for essentially the opposite of the Strauss and Mate'rn processes included in library(spatial) and documented in MASS. I am examining daily travel patterns, focusing on just the destinations of trips, not the

Insecure /tmp handling in isdnlog
The isdnlog program (provided by isdn4k-utils.tar.gz) creates a root-owned temp file called /tmp/isdnctrl (or /tmp/isdnctrl0) and no checking for symbolic links is done. The file is opened append only, a user can make a symbolic from /tmp/isdnctrl to any file and mess things up. example: ln -s /var/spool/mail/root /tmp/isdnctrl -- dentoir Fart Foundation Security through immaturity

Potentially insecure format string handling in PAM support
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- With the recent remote root Wu-ftpd exploit based upon incorrect format string handling (processing user-supplied data as format strings), I've taken to scanning any code with elevated permissions for similar problems. default "insecure" setting
Hello, everyone. I'm having a small problem when using asterisk with GUI. For every provider I create I have to set "insecure=invite, port" in users.conf. Is there a way to make it a default setting? Thanks in advance.

Insecure=
Who knows who decided to put insecure as the name for that option ? Not only does it confuse noobs, it really has nothing to do with security, as iirc its to accept calls from a device regg'ed or authed even if on diff ports, and for the invite.. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
