Asterisk guru wanted, SoCal (LA/OC/San Bernardino County)
We've mostly gotten our Asterisk install working, but there are a couple
glitches I haven't been able to fix.
I'm looking for someone who knows Asterisk, can do some consulting work,
and is in Southern California. Los Angeles or Orange County are ok, but
I'd prefer someone in the Inland Empire, with strongest preference given
to people here in the High Desert or in the San

[OT] DevOps Days 2010 - call for papers.
Hello all,
I would like to draw your attention to a most excellent conference
coming up in October, of which I am one of the organisers.
The conference is the second European Devopsdays, and is in Hamburg on
the 15th and 16th of October. It's a conference for anyone interested
in both sysadmin and development activities, and in bridging the gap
between the two disciplines.
We're

194 Kernel Panic; 164 is Fine; How Do I Debug?
I have a machine that has worked fine for years on CentOS5.
kernel-PAE-2.6.18-164.15.1.el5 is the last "works fine" kernel, but
kernel-PAE-2.6.18-194.3.1.el5 crashes at boot every time.
I tried banging on the side of the monitor to no avail.
All kidding aside, here are pictures of my monitor when booting 194 in
case that is helpful.

[SC] EnumQueryServicesStatus:OpenService FAILED 123
*Hi guys!*

*I''m trying to perform a service creation using SC and if this service is
already created, using an "unless" we can avoid it. *
*Sound very simple, but for any reason, when instructions are called by
puppet they are not working instead you call directly, same instructions,
using DOS, where works sweet.*

install dovecot 2.2.35 debian jessie
Hey Aki Tuomi, how are you doing?
I have tried many ways for getting 2.2.35 pre-built installed via 'apt-get
install' in Debian Jessie and Stretch using the official repos.
The reason I prefer to install pre-built instead of compiling it is because
the I run it on dockers, so it's a lot easier and automated to just apt-get
install it.
I was using 2.2.31 devel in Debian Jessie, I

Hi!
2.2.35 is not unstable, but apparently it is in debian distribution,
which is called 'unstable'.

BLQ Gluster community meeting anyone?
Hello community,
My company is willing to host a Gluster-community meeting in Bologna
(Italy) on March 8th 2018, back-to-back with Incontro Devops Italia (
http://2018.incontrodevops.it) and in the same venue as the conference.
I think that having 2-3 good technical talk, plus some BOFs/lightning
talks/open-space discussions will make for a nice half-a-day event. It is
also probable that one or
