Disable Client Certificate Authentication for Unencrypted Connections?
I?m using dovecot to provide encrypted IMAP e-mail support for remote clients and it?s working great. However, I also need to set up a webmail front-end (Roundcube), which I?m hoping to have use unencrypted IMAP on port 143 (as only port 993 is available externally).
The problem I?m running into is that I want to require client certificate authentication on port 993, but dovecot is apparently

Comparison of huge files ineffective?
Hi,
how does rsync work if it compares two very huge files on two distinct
hosts (rsync uses a networked connection, via SSH)?
Some observation seems to indicate, that rsync first reads (and
checksums?) the remote (destination) side, then, if finished, it reads
(and checksums?) the local (source) side and then starts transferring
the delta if done with the comparison of these two files on both

Your observation would be right if you are using --checksum which you
shouldn't be. Otherwise, unless you are using --whole-file rsync will
use its differential algorithm to compare the files. If you are using
--progress you will see it step through the file at a faster speed than
the network is capable of. If there is no difference then rsync will go
very fast to 100% then do any metadata

Greater OS X integration
Okay, I'd like to start first by saying, awesome work on this project! It's been a few years since I last tracked the progress of WINE on OS X, and it's come on leaps and bounds as I can run most everything I've thrown at it so far, with only minor issues here and there, which is a damned sight better than VMWare Fusion or Parallels which have compatibility issues everywhere,
