Compiling with --disable-iconv
I've been trying to compile 3.0.0pre8 under cygwin. I was getting a problem with the iconv functions which I think are related to the cygwin environment and its iconv.h.
To bypass it I wanted to compile with the --disable-iconv function. I'm still getting the following errors during compile:

hivex: some issues (key encoding, ...) and suggested fixes
Hi,
libhivex seems to do a great job at parsing hives most of the time, but
there are some issues with a few registry keys.
These can be worked around in the application that uses libhivex, but I
think it'd be better if libhivex handled these itself.
1. UTF16 string in REG_SZ that has garbage after the \0\0
There is code in hivex.c to handle this already but I think it has a typo:

[PATCH][RFC] permit domU userspace to watch xenstore
Hello,
This patch allows userspace tools on a domU to setup a watch on
the xenstore. It does this by intercepting XS_WATCH requests written
to /proc/xen/xenbus and then re-submitting the request to the in-kernel
xenstore interface, in
linux-2.6-xen-sparse/drivers/xen/xenbus/xenbus_xs.c. When a callback
occurs, an in-kernel function is invoked, which then reconstructs a
response in the format

Autoconf / Windows package building problem for device package
Dear list,
Tadashi Kadowaki has developed a pdf device package
that allows to add hyperlinks and popups
to (currently) text, mtext and rect calls.
The package passes R CMD check (minor warnings) and compiles
on MacOS X and GNU/Linux, but we do not succeed in building
the package for Windows.
The current version of the package can be
checked out as
svn checkout

[LLVMdev] Error while loading profile information
Hi all,
I am trying to load a profile information (llvmprof.out) which has been
separately created, to get the execution count of each basic block and use
it to estimate the execution count of machine basic blocks for getting how
many times any instruction gets executed, for ARM specifically. The error
on running the code comes as:

[PATCH] Add a cache for iconv_t handles to hive_t
It was brought to my attention that dumping a registry hive causes a
lot of time spent in disk I/O activity because iconv_open() and
iconv_close() are called for every key. Every iconv_open() call causes
/usr/lib/.../gconv/$ENCODING.so to be opened and mapped.
The iconv_t handles are now cached in the hive_h struct; they are
opened on-demand and re-used.
On my ~10 year old Lenovo T60, I have

Unable to Configure Xen Dom 0 in Jeremy''s PVOPS Kernel
Hi All,
I followed the instructions here at
http://bderzhavets.wordpress.com/2009/06/10/setup-fedora-11-pv-domu-at-xen-3-4-1-dom0-kernel-2-6-30-rc6-tip-on-top-of-fedora-11/
However, when I do a "make menuconfig", I cannot see any XEN related
configuration options. What am I missing?
Thank you.

I have created a virtual high performance computing (HPC) cluster of 6

[PATCH] Introduce a wrapper around xmlParseURI.
An alternate solution to:

"[PATCH] v2v: -i vmx: Allow ssh URLs to use spaces."
is to classify all URLs processed by libguestfs as either ordinary
URLs or the special non-standard URLs that we use for things like
‘virt-v2v -i vmx’ and ‘guestfish --add’.
For the non-standard URLs, provide a wrapper around
