[PATCH] nouveau: bios pointers may be unaligned, use proper accessors
This can show up on SPARC or other architectures that don't handle unaligned accesses. The kernel normally fixes these up, but it shouldn't have to. [PATCH] Use nanosleep instead of usleep when waiting the hardware.
usleep() was being used without checking its return value. When the server receives SIGALRM or SIGIO the waits are shortened and random modesetting failures happen: Use nanosleep and loop around it until the requested time has elapsed. --- src/nouveau_hw.c | 2 +- src/nouveau_local.h | 6 ++++++ src/nv_bios.c | 2 +- src/nv_crtc.c | 2 +- src/nv_include.h | 1 +

[RFC] nouveau: Add basic i2c sensor chip support
This adds basic support for driving sensor chips off the nvidia i2c buses, along with basic support for reading the internal GPU sensor on supported chipsets. It's heavily cribbed off nvclock. Having scanned a large number of bioses, I'm pretty convinced that the appropriate i2c bus is always number 2 in the list on <g80 - I'm not sure about later cards yet. There's still a lot

[PATCH] drm/nouveau/bios: downgrade absence of tmds table to info from an error
Absence of a TMDS Info Table is common on Optimus setups where the NVIDIA gpu is not connected directly to any outputs. Reporting an error in this scenario is too harsh. Accordingly, change the error message to an info message. By default the error message also causes a boot flicker for these sytems. Signed-off-by: Rhys Kidd <rhyskidd at gmail.com> ---

[PATCH] drm/nouveau: Do not show an error if the TMDS table pointer is invalid
Optimus cards with no outputs trigger this message (NVD7, for example) This commit changes the warning into an informational message. The return value of the function is not used, so I left it at -EINVAL. Linux SMB Mount utils patch
Hi, I'm sure that you are all aware that the mount utilities that ship with samba are designed to compile and run only with Linux 2.1 series development kernels. I'll _try_ keep this short and sweet while doing my best to explain what I have done, since I have a tendancy to ramble on. I have two boxes, one Linux with libc5, and another with Linux and Glibc2 (aka libc6). The Samba

[Bridge] [PATCH v2] net: add ETH_P_802_3_MIN
Add a new constant ETH_P_802_3_MIN, the minimum ethernet type for an 802.3 frame. Frames with a lower value in the ethernet type field are Ethernet II. Also update all the users of this value that David Miller and I could find to use the new constant. Also correct a bug in util.c. The comparison with ETH_P_802_3_MIN should be >= not >. As suggested by Jesse Gross. Compile tested only.

[PATCHv2 01/10] drm/nouveau: Fix a lock up at NVSetOwner with nv11.
It seems it was only locking up in the context of nouveau_hw_save_vga_fonts, when it actually did something (because the console wasn't already in graphics mode). [PATCH 00/12] TV-out modesetting kernel patches.
This patch series adds TV-out modesetting support to the KMS implementation. I've tried to test it on all the hardware I've got at hand (that is nv11, nv17, nv34, nv35, nv40, nv4b) with every possible output combination; I believe it has reached a mergeable state, however it depends on some commits from drm-next that haven't got into Linus' tree yet, if you agree to merge this

Changes since v9: * series re-ordering so make functionality more distinct. Basic vlan filtering is patches 1-4. Support for PVID/untagged vlans is patches 5 and 6. VLAN support for FDB/MDB is patches 7-11. Patch 12 is still additional egress policy. * Slight simplification to code that extracts the VID from skb. Since we now depend on the vlan module, at the time of input skb_tci is
