I decided to upgrade from openSuse 10.2 to openSuse 10.3. I installed xen things, but when I boot using xen option the system is blocked. It appears the green window, with little suse logo in the middle, and mouse cursor, but the system crashes. My computer is a Pentium 4 1,5 GHz, 512 MB of RAM. I attached "diff boot.msg boot.omsg" (as diff opensuse-normal-kernel opensuse-xen-kernel)

Hello, I have an HP Pavilion g series laptop with an ATI vision A6 video chipset. I tried elrepos ati driver but found that the laptop would freeze intermittently and frequently. So I unloaded that driver and am running with nomodeset argument just to get a desktop. I went to the ATI site but am not sure what to try. Would anyone know which driver I could use that would work? Now the UPS turns off after the system shutdown, if the shutdown is caused by lack of power going to the UPS. Hello, I'm just migrating my boxes to fedora 9 which brings us to the upstart mechanism instead of SystemV, etc.The distro as it is delivered does not have configuration which supports powerfail events. I would love to find an old-fashioned outliner, like the ones that used to exist prior to the modern GUIs. It would make writing structured documents, or organizing thoughts in general, so much more convenient, productive and faster. Ideally it should allow saving files in txt, OO and markdown formats...
