Delta RPMs (drpms) for CentOS-6 and CentOS-7
We are having issues with drpms on CentOS-6 i386 and x86_64 and on CentOS-7 x86_64. The technical issues sometimes cause us to have to rebuild all drpms over again .. and the time involved is very large.? Also storing the drpms and moving them around takes up a lot of space and bandwidth. We would like to remove delta rpms (drpms) from our CentOS-6 and CentOS-7 repositories. But before we do ,

CentOS 5 and DRPM
Has anybody successfully implemented DRPMs on centos 5.x? I searched the net and I found a few indications that it is possible, but there is very little info how to do it. Just to be clear. With DRPMs i mean deltaRPMs. And with implementation i mean What yum plugins are necessary and what has to be done on the yum repository to make it work. Trivial exclude help
Hi list, Sorry for the exclude question... but I have been trying for hours to get this to work and am utterly baffled. I'm performing an archive transfer between hosts and wish to include anything in any directory named 'debug' or 'drpms' at any depth. I assumed this would be as simple as --exclude 'debug/***' --exclude 'drpms/***' but I still get

Delta RPMs (drpms) for CentOS-6 and CentOS-7

So it is of no consequence to *me* if they are done

For building my local repo, how large is 5.4 update?
I have run a local repo for Centos updates for some time. I suppose, at this point I could just delete the 5.3 update directory and rsync the 5.4 directory... But how large is the 5.4 update directory? Oh, just for i386, without /debug and is there anything else I should not include? For example for my FC11 update repo I also exclude drpms.

Disk usage incorrectly reported by du
I have an ext4 filesystem for which the reported disk usage is not correct. I have noticed the discrepancy after I rsync-ed the content to another filesystem and noticed that the used space on the target is almost double of the size reported on the source. Both machines are running the same software - with the same kernel version and same coreutils version (which I later upgraded to latest

Samba with Mac files?
I have a Win2K Server that acts as a file server to a bunch of Macintosh machines on the network. Today I installed samba-3.0.5 on a Fedora1 machine, and mounted one of the server shares and tried to read it. Much to my surprise, I found files that are being listed like this: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 0 May 13 16:30 Icon?* -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 25649 Aug 23 2000 webslide151.gif*

GT 730 freeze : how do diagnose / debug ?
Some additional data: - putting LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 in /etc/environment makes indeed the system work (for my current usage, the slowness is acceptable in exchange of stabillity) - I still get lock-up using mesa from git (17.2~git1705081930.25d2 from this repository https://launchpad.net/~oibaf/+archive/ubuntu/graphics-drivers) I have another question (probably Ben Skeggs could also give an
