cannot update battery.date value of APC ups battery
Hi, I'm running this command: # upsrw -s "battery.date=2013Jun7" -u ups-mon-IT "IT-APC-BOTTOMRIGHT at 127.0.0.1" Password: OK but I'm getting this listing: # upsc IT-APC-BOTTOMRIGHT at 127.0.0.1 battery.alarm.threshold: 0 battery.charge: 100.0 battery.charge.restart: 15 battery.date: 01/10/06 battery.packs: 000 battery.runtime: 1440 battery.runtime.low: 120

unacceptable utility voltage rate of change
Hi, One of my APC devices reports: "unacceptable utility voltage rate of change". I believe it has something to do with input voltage fluctuating too fast maybe even beneath or over the input voltage thresholds. Should I worry about this? should I measure input voltage? (I suppose I'd need more than multimeter readings. Maybe an oscilloscope or a multimeter that can record

NUT and non-APCC UPSs doing calibration runs
I'm looking to buy some new UPSs and am thinking of parting ways with APC to explore other brands. Can anyone suggest another brand that handles doing calibration runs (or maybe another brand doesn't need them) that I can automate with NUT? Thanks, -Ben

How to treat UPS status of TRIM as on line
I am using NUT 2.6.5 as part of FreeNAS 9.2.0. I am using an APC Smart-UPS 5000 RM DL4 with a AP9619 network management card. NUT properly detects when the UPS goes on battery and initiates a shutdown after the configured time. The problem I have is that I am using a 208V unit on a 240V circuit. That means the normal state for the UPS is "TRIM". NUT doesn't treat that as an on line

battery not installed, but battery still 100% and NUT 2.7.2-4 does not catch this and report a error
Hi debian jessie, nut 2.7.2-4 APC Smart-UPS 1500 connected through USB, running nut driver usbhid-ups This UPS powers my switches, internet connection and my monitor server that monitors this and my other UPSes + runs smokeping and nagios. But recently a powerloss seemed to have shutdown my monitor PC immediately, so it did not shut down the other servers cleanly. Power seem to be lost

Incorrect 'low battery' detected with Back-UPS XS 1200 (newhidups)
Hello All I just discoverd NUT and I'm lovin' it. I was very successful getting nut to monitor a CyberPower UPS along with having a Linux slave for a friend of mine. I've come to a snag on my personal system though. I currently have two Back-UPS XS 1200 APC UPSs, and I'm seeing notifications of low battery on both units. Now, both units are not showing 'low battery' on

APC Back UPS and Best Power FERRUPS?
Lately I got (used) an APC Back UPS Pro 1000 and Back UPS NS 1080. I got an ethernet-to-USB cable from another UPS, but the Pro isn't detected (with usbhid-ups.) I haven't tried the NS yet but it seems to not be on the list though looks just like the Pro. Some months ago I was discussing setup of a Ferrups 700VA.  I got it to work only with a command in rc.local, but not automatically
